Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaVery clean with friendly staff. Good location, a little bit far from the busy areas, however this is a plus if you want somewhere a bit quieter to stay away from the hustle and bustle

CyprusAsakusa is a good location with lots to do and in a quieter part of Tokyo and it is close to the Skytree building. The Ginza metro line is a ten minute walk and it has large comfortable rooms. We were a family of four.

United States of AmericaFor an expensive hotel, you would think VOD is available like some of the cheaper end hotels around but it isn't. When you turn on the TV, you can see the restaurants and other places they have available. Wi-fi information is also displayed on the TV. We had to just use the TV as a background noise flipping through the few channels they had available. The hotel also had the laundry room in the 5th floor. Only two dryers and washers are available for ALL of the guests staying in the hotel. Inconvenient but the washer does come with the detergent already so you don't have to run and get detergent.
Booked the room with a nice view of the Tokyo Skytree and it was amazing. The staff were very courteous and polite. They have people waiting by the elevator during normal times to open it up for you and busers to open the door for you if you ever get dropped off by taxi or private car. The hotel's reception desk is on the back and a staff, during normal hours, will guide you to where it is. Check the hotel's website for information on what shops/restaurants/amenities they have available. Also, even if the hotel is not registered under LGBT friendly in Booking, we were still treated with respect during our anniversary date at one of their restaurants. My extra requests during the date was fulfilled as well. The beds were fairly sized and there was enough room to move around. They gave us two cards and an extra paper card that you could leave on the little slot as soon as you open the door to keep the electricity running. Definitely different from other hotels around Japan since you would have to leave your room key on the slot for most hotels. The bathroom was fairly sized. Enough room to change in if you are sharing the room with relatives or family you don't want to change in front of. The bath tub is American sized, not deep like the usual Japanese bath tubs. The shower is corded like usual Japanese bathrooms. Amenities are provided in the bathroom from shavers, hair ties. bath towels and face towels, body towel (to scrub yourself with), shampoo, conditioner, body soap, glasses for brushing your teeth, toothbrushes, etc. They do come to your room to clean unless you want to turn on one of the switches by the door (one has Do Not Disturb and the other one, if I recall, says Do Not Make Up Room). Beds and pillows were comfortable as well! Also, massage service during the night is available. I also appreciate the convenience of smoke room downstairs for hotel guests.

United States of AmericaTimely communication with the accommodation manager was a bit tough. The manager would respond to my messages eventually but never answered my calls and sometimes took hours to respond when I needed help with a situation. Manager was very helpful despite being slow to respond.
Spacious apartment style accommodation with separate sitting area. Nice large closets to store suitcases out of the way. Kitchen and washing machine with dryer bath was very handy and worked well to dry my clothes in a few hours.

United States of AmericaThis is not a modern trendy hotel. It felt more traditional. One downside is the Orange Ginza line station was a little bit farther walking than red Asakusa station. Normally it would not be considered far but we went back and forth to that Ginza line many times a day and after long day of walking, it felt far. Also this location is not as central. It took 40 min to go to Shibuya, Harajuku. 25 min to Ginza. However, this is close to Akihabara, Ueno.
This hotel room was surprising spacious. Room was very clean and well maintained. They provided lots of bathroom amenities and Illy coffee pod machine. Many restaurants nearby! Convenient stores nearby. 24 hour laundry near by (onsite one had 2 machines and limited operating hours). Staffs were very kind and helpful.
