This was our first time in Varanasi so wasn’t sure what to expect. This place is in a narrow lane hence autos or cabs cannot reach easily. The staff were kind enough to walk to us and take us to the hotel at arrival. Also this is the busiest area of Varanasi so can be overwhelming for first time visitors. Breakfast was tasty but limited choice.

- All staff members were very nice. They were approachable and made an effort to make guests comfortable. Kudos to all staff ! - Easy to walk to the ghat and to the main temple. - Hot water, ac etc was all working; all basic necessities were there. - Place is exactly like pictures.

The hotel is near the Godholiya chowk in narrow street and the auto rickshaw will not go there.

Not tons of natural light but that’s expected in these types of hotels. We were inside only at night for sleeping so we were not bothered.

The BEST customer service. Very kind hotel staff. Great location. We walked everywhere from the hotel and enjoyed seeing everything Varanasi had to offer.

It would have been more comfortable if there was a trash can in the room! The only trash cans are in the bathroom.

Abhijeet and Bhavesh and the rest of the staff were very helpful and welcomed us warmly. They also gave us ghats to recommend and helped us plan our trip, and there is a foot massage machine on the second floor that helped us relax after our trip.

Dragging down the luggage over crowded roads

Cute little property bang in the middle of the busiest area of Varanasi. The street is relatively quiet and close to the main ghats. Staff was always available and very helpful with everything. Coming in and going out felt easy and safe even in the middle of the night.

As usual, cleanliness of the room can be improved ; in particular the furniture should be cleaned. Bedsheets and towels with some stains on, they shall ne replaces.

Safarnama is located in a very strategic location, in the old city and close to the ghats but in a pretty quiet street (compared to the others). Staff is very kind and available and breakfast is very good. They prepare for you fresh omelette, poha and paratha. Furniture are nice. Picture correspond to reality. They prepare for you a small care package at your arrival. Hot water always available. They also have an airport pickup/drop off service for 1000INR (not cheap but ok). I 100% recommend staying at Safarnama.

Location makes access difficult. I was promised a car pickup but later withdrawn - some understandable reasons but I had booked by then. This eventually did become a stressful point to get to the hotel - late in the night !

The staff in the property was so hesitant. I ordered food at night and he was so hesitant to unlock the door and questioned me who orders food at 10PM. We also had early morning registration for the temple visit and he didn't open the door to go out in the morning. After so many attempts, he opened the door and let us out. There is also a language barrier if you don't know Hindi.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was right at the spot. We can experience the streets of varanasi. The munshi ghat near was really good.

The staff were very helpfull with everything I needed. There were some works getting done in the proprety during my stay which indicates that they are willing to improve even more. To be fair, it is a very nice place to stay for Varanasi standards.

The position is perfect to visit the city. In the old city but still easy to reach. No street noise heard in the room. The room and bathroom were clean and Indian style. We stayed 3 nights, breakfast is good. We recommend it.

We thought on the whole we got good value. Some more natural night in the bedroom (we got a smaller room) would have been nice, however can’t really expect the hotel to change the building!

The staff here are excellent, and couldn’t be more helpful. We arrived very early and they managed to clean a room and let us check in, which was really appreciated and above and beyond what should be expected. The staff helped us to organise a taxi to the airport, responded when we needed help with getting to the doctors with sickness, and sorted laundry for us including getting back a scarf that the laundry didn’t initially return. The hotel was excellent value for money - really if we wanted more we should be paying more. The room was very clean, and we were offered mid-stay cleaning if we wanted it. The dining area was nice, but could do with the walls repainting / cleaning and the cutlery wasn’t all clean (we gave it a quick wipe and got on with it, I don’t think it affected our health and everything else was clean). The area around the hotel is very noisy, however the hotel is far enough from the main road to be able to get a good nights sleep. There’s a convenience store just opposite and a pharmacy really close by should you need it.

If someone is explorer and wish to see Banaras city on the line of history, and wish to enjoy early breeze while boating in the river ganga, and spent time at the river ghaat, a good place to stay as the facility is very close to river Ghaat, temples and many religious places of the city. The narrow streets of Banaras (Banaras Ki Galiyan) can be felt while roaming by them. A little issue to reach at the facility is there, however, it will also add interesting experience to your Banaras visit. Staff is fantastic in work and nature.

The hotel is located on a narrow street that is not accessible to cars. It is about a 5 minute walk to the main road. It is a short distance, possible to cover with a heavy backpack. Nevertheless, the staff moved our luggage both ways at our request. The location of the hotel is very good, close to all tourist attractions. The staff is very kind and helpful. The room is clean, the beds are comfortable, no problem with hot water. The breakfast is very good. The only negative is the noise from the reception and from the street in the room behind the reception, but Varanasi is a very noisy city. Earplugs will suffice. Other than that, the hotel deserves a full recommendation for a stay in Varanasi.
