Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsIt smelled really bad. Swimming pool closed early so we couldn’t make use of it. Self-Check in is a bit like an escape room.
It was close to the sea.

United KingdomThe freezer cabinet was dirty. Food remnants were embedded in the dry ice. We cleaned it because we didn't want to be charged 200 Euros for cleaning! The balcony was dirty and weeds were also growing. The balcony glass panels were very dirty and one panel had a lage crack
Reasonably close to the beach and shops Quiet. You could enjoy an evening on the balcony without undue disturbance from others

UkraineThe keys to the room need to be searched through a quest, as well as the key to the parking lot, which is issued separately... at this time, the car is blocking the road while the search for all the keys continues. The hotel looks like a roadside hostel, everything is peeling and dirty in the room, there is mold in the corners of the room, there is no cleaning, towels are provided for the whole during your stay in the hotel, there is a restaurant where you can have only coffee and croissants for breakfast every day... 2 pools with stagnant water that are not changed all season, only chlorine is added, which eats out the eyes and nose... the territory is dirty and neglected. On the plus side, the hotel is not far from sea on which there is a wonderful beach and a convenient entrance to the sea, soft sand and crystal clear water. Nearby amenities include a pharmacy, a pizzeria, a shawarma restaurant, Indian and Japanese cuisine)

United KingdomRats on grounds, Marijuana smell throughout place. They tried to charge us for taking a non-existing dog on our holiday. You are also expected to clean the place for the next residents; we were contacted saying there was wanting a cleaning charge when we cleaned it to a better standard than how it was when we arrived. Our first day at the pool, we were welcomed by a dead bird on ground being eaten by a seagull - the security just sat and ignored it until someone asked them to clean it up.
The pool was the best bit, but was average. Nice view from our room. There was air con , although we were told we got that because of an upgrade so can't imagine what our non-upgraded place would of been like.

United States of AmericaThis is a slum property. The building is unkempt. The grounds uncared for. We were trapped in the garage upon arrival, found ourselves with luggage in tow in emergency exit hallways with doors who's handles were rusted off and therefore inoperable. It was dirty in the elevator and in the hallways leading to the room. There were bird feathers inside of the room and what appeared to be fecal stains on the walls. Never in all my travels have I experienced such poor facilities. It was disgusting, We walked in the room and walked out. I paid steeply for a last minute hotel somewhere else. Upon complaint I was denied a refund. I understand that booking.com is a third party vendor, but your properties do reflect on you, I will never book through booking.com again.
Not one positive thing to say about this property. It is fecal matter disgusting. Do not stay here.
