Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongThough the hotel is a bit old but I feel like it is the way it is. The shower head is out of order and it keep falling down seems no one is repairing them seriously.
It surprise me as It is located in a residential building and super close to the beach. Very French living. Staff are super nice.

United KingdomA few decorative touches would make the hotel very special. A vase of beautiful flowers in the dining room would be good as would pretty tableware laid out on the table. At present it looks bare. The table is a little too high even for a tall person. I was really disappointed when I entered my bedroom - room 6. The colour of the bedspread - grey/taupe was dull and depressing. The tablecloth was totally crumpled and the pillow cases had not been properly ironed. The first impression was not good. I saw room 7 and it was much more attractive. However all was forgiven with the very comfortable bed and quietness of the room. And the garden - lovely, just natural and not too manicured. And the location!
The bed was really very comfortable and room quiet. It is amazing to have a garden. The location is excellent. There was a nice feeling of being in a restful home rather than a busy hotel. I liked the neutral pale colour in the common areas. It was very private and calm after a busy day in crowds and noise.

NetherlandsIt was super humid in the bathroom/room. We’ve noticed the ventilation system was not working in the bathroom (we noticed mold on the walls/ceiling - I guess the strong smell of bleach we sensed when we arrived was due to that). On our last day, when we were about to leave, we finally were able to find someone of the staff to talk about it (luckily the owner). She was very nice and brought someone to have a look at it right way.
Super nice location. Easy to walk around and with lots of options of restaurants and cafes nearby. They also have a nice garden.

RomaniaQuite pricey for the size of the room and the amenities. Taking big advantage of the location and the holiday period (I travelled in April, during school holiday period in France).
The best aspect is the position: few minutes by foot from the Place Masséna or the Promenade des Anglais. To me, the place is more of a B&B rather than a real hotel: it is a big appartment with something like 7 or 8 rooms. There is a reception available until 8 pm, though. Room has everything you need to a few days' stay, including hair dryer and mini fridge (than can prove super useful in hot sunny Nice). Quite safe for a solo traveller, although I've certainly seen better.

United KingdomHaving read rave reviews I was a little disappointed. I got room 2! Bland decor, a tiny shower even for me and I’m slight! And an extremely miserable welcome. Felt like I was intruding!

FranceTiny but functional shower room. Corridor is next to breakfast area and early noise (especially children) on Sunday morning prevented a lie-in.
Quiet location close to shopping area and eateries, airy room with large window onto secluded garden and comfortable bed. Wardrobe adequate. Really helpful staff especially Tatiana who let us leave our small overnight bags early before check in and also after check out.

United KingdomHard to find, No.11 but isn't next to No.13. Once found they said there would be an envelope with our name on on the table. It wasn't there (10pm at night). Instead an envelope with someone else's name was. Had to call. Said we'd take that key and room. Not sure we got room we paid for. Anxious that they'd try and move us, which made it all a bit uncomfortable. Room was expensive and higher than listed rate on the door (£200+/night) Our most expensive stay. Staff said they'd just written the wrong name down on envelope but did apologise.. Also wifi code isn't published anywhere so had to email and ask for it. Nice is expensive I know. Room location etc all OK, but wouldn't stay again at that price and issue.
Had a kettle for use.Garden was nice and location was good.

The hotel is ideally situated, just a minutes walk from the promenade des Anglais, 10 minutes from the railway station and also close to the old town. The room was clean, had excellent air conditioning and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a lovely secluded garden which you can sit in. Our room was ready when we arrived at midday and we were able to leave our luggage there after we checked out as our flight was later in the day. The staff were very helpful and efficient and the hotel offered excellent value for money.
