We adored absolutely everything about Maison Loire and it’s amazing manager Nicolas. He is the kindest, most generous host we have ever had. He constantly ensured we had a fantastic stay in Blois and the Loire Valley. The house is gorgeous and is furnished in the most beautiful antique yet modern manner. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and Nicolas ensured we had anything and everything we needed. As we drove away my husband and I were talking about the next time we could stay. Also his little dog is so so so cute!!!

Maison Loire is the most beautiful place to stay. The accommodation could not be more perfect – it's comfortable, stylish, with so many wonderful features, particularly the bed, which is so important. The hosts, Nicholas and Alexander, are welcoming and helpful and just great to be with. Lovely breakfasts, too. Very happy with our stay there. Thank you.

We stayed in the Maisonette for 7 nights and had a wonderful time. Was well appointed for cooking etc and suited us to do a bit of self catering and catch up with some laundry matters. The property was very peaceful and had wonderful views over the Loire river. Nicolas was an excellent host and we really enjoyed the drinks night on the terrace on a warm summer evening. The property is an easy 10 minute walk to the town centre and 10 minutes to the train/bus station. The bus to the 3 chateau's worked extremely well and easy train commute to Amboise to visit the other chateau's. Our morning views from our upstairs bedroom over the valley with the hot air balloons in this distance was awesome.

Coffee could be improved. A Nespresso machine would make it easy for guests to get an espresso.

Beautifully and thoughtfully renovated and furnished, with nice artwork and furniture throughout. Lovely table for breakfast. Host provides many tips and ideas for local visits to chateaux and other activities. Personal service. The breakfast was excellent.

We stayed four nights at Maison Loire and we fell in love with it. It is a unique accommodation, a little gem right in the heart of Blois city. The house itself is wonderfully located with views overlooking the Loire river, beautifully decorated with a very good selection of antique furniture and objects, you can instantly see the good taste of the owners. Nicholas was simply amazing as a host, every morning he offered for breakfast a great selection of pastries, local cheeses, natural yogurt, fruits from his neighbours and delicious coffee. We enjoyed eating at the same table with the other guests, we found the experience rare and interesting. Also the little terrace party was a great idea, we got to socialise with the other guests of different nationalities, exchanging opinions and ideas with them was indeed valuable to us, you don't get to do this in other places. Nicholas willingness to park his car on the street just to accommodate our trailer and two motorcycles in his garage was truly a special touch of hospitality. I cannot put an end to this review without mentioning how lovely Siddhartha (the dog) is, so well behaved and cute, we adored him. So, if you want to visit Blois in style just book Maison Loire!

Nicolas is a friendly and welcoming host. He was informative about the region. Room was clean and well appointed. The breakfasts were excellent- variety and fresh. The ambience and views from the windows were stimulating. Parking was easy..

This was one of the most special hotels we've ever stayed in! The interior design was top-notch, like something out of Architectural Digest, reflecting the hosts' sense of hospitality, respect for the period property and attention to detail. We loved the sparkling wine reception held for all the guests and resident dog Siddhartha. Nicolas and Alexander were so welcoming that we felt like we were visiting family. The breakfast was nothing short of a delightful feast!

I wish I could eat more at breakfast! The continental breakfast was delicious with fresh juice, breads, croissants and cheeses...as well as local honey and conserves.

Nicolas greeted us and welcomed us to his beautiful Maison. The house is impressive, both from a decorative and proportional point of view. The front room, reading and terrace areas have been well planned and it is clear that Nicolas has excellent taste and a flare for spotting antiques and interesting artefacts to place in these areas. All the rooms are beautiful and have a warmth and charm. Our bedroom was extremely well appointed, with a large garden facing room and a modern bathroom with a walk- in shower had good water pressure and worked perfectly. The linen was of high quality and there was attention to detail to all the soft furnishings as well as the furniture. Breakfast was so wonderful - we sat in the beautiful dinning room , which was laid with beautiful silver jugs and antique crockery - it was just such a treat. Nicolas was an excellent host for the 2 days we stayed. We were close to good restaurants and had excellent dining experiences within 10 minutes walk , there were many options but just not enough nights. Although we arrived by car , we were able to store our bikes safely in the garage which was helpful.
