Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe toilet (in its own little room) could benefit from a sink so one would not have to traipse to the bathroom to wash one's hands. Also, in order to charge a battery, or even a phone, the room light must stay on or the juice gets shut off so you sleep with the light on.
The breakfast is outstanding! The staff is totally accommodating, watchful for one's every wish. Frankly, the price compared to other, significantly less stellar establ8shments is really fair.

A wonderful hotel in the centre of a most beautiful village with great staff and amazing food. In particular, the Olivier Nasti dining experience was outstanding.

NetherlandsThe hotel is situated in the center of Kaysersberg, a lovely pittoresk village. All staff at the hotel are very friendly, polite, helpful and professional. We loved our room which had a private patio overlooking the vinyards. The bathroom was spacious with a modern large walk-in shower. All very clean. The breakfast buffet offered many choices with freshly baked breads, pastries, fruits, yoghurt, assorted cheeses and cold cuts. The home made confitures were just delicious. Their restaurant Le Bistro offers a wonderful menu of mostly meat and fish dishes. The Spa at the hotel has a very nice heated pool, whirlpool and sauna. Great to spend some relaxing time there. The parking at the hotel is gated and for hotel guests only. In all we spend a very nice week at this hotel and can highly recommend it.

GermanyRooms were a bit small, and no hair conditioner. I don't think I've stayed in a hotel that didn't offer hair conditioner. I had forgot my own, so was hoping they had it. That was a small thing...no biggie.
Rooms were very clean, a bit small, but had everything. The breakfast was exceptional and well prepared. Staff was very helpful.

IsraelThe airconditioner in our room no. 3 was noisy, to the extent that I thought it was an alarm in a room near us. I complained and staff immediately came to check what, the alarm was, but to no avail. it was quickly resolved only when we stopped using the a/c but I might not have accepted this solution during summer.
Great rooms. Super comfy beds. Wonderful small and well maintained spa. Restaurants must br prebooked for lunch/dinner. Breakfast superb.

SwitzerlandInitially, the reception at check-in felt quite cold. However, I must note that it did improve during my stay, and became more accommodating as time went on. One suggestion I have is to consider adding a sunny terrace for guests to enjoy the sun. Unfortunately, during my visit, the existing terrace was not sunny in the morning or afternoon. Another aspect worth considering is the decor. While I appreciate the regional tradition, I found the heavy emphasis on the hunting theme a bit overwhelming. Lightening up the decor could make the ambiance more inviting. Lastly, after dinner, I attempted to order a drink at the bar. Unfortunately, I waited for approximately 15 minutes, and nobody showed up to assist with the drinks. Although the reception lady was present on a few occasions, there wasn't much she could do to assist in this case.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming hotel, and I wanted to share my experience. The setting is truly picturesque, with nice views of the vineyards. And nice smell of freshly baked bread in the mornings / afternoons. The room was exceptionally comfortable and impeccably clean, ensuring a restful stay. Now, about the breakfast: it was simply perfect! The charm of the dining area, coupled with the delicious and diverse food options, left me delighted. The service was warm and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. The homemade jams were a delightful touch, and the table decorated with Kugelhopf was a lovely detail that made it all feel perfect. I absolutely loved it! Furthermore, I had the pleasure of enjoying a facial and massage at the spa, both of which were excellent and incredibly relaxing. This hotel is a true embodiment of Alsace tradition and hospitality. Highly recommended.

United KingdomPool was too small to be of any use in terms of doing lengths. It was expensive and nothing in the mini bar was free... not even the water!
Wonderful setting in the heart of Kaysersberg. Quiet location. Not too big. Garden rooms were well appointed and with a pretty outlook over the neighbouring vineyards. The food was excellent (breakfast delicious and varied)...especially liked the nice touch of a free pot of homemade conserve and huge traditional brioche and loaf of homemade bread! We ate in the Winstub for dinner one night (essential to book in advance). It is also where breakfast is taken. We had a very reasonably priced 3 course meal which was outstanding. Highly recommend going there.

SwitzerlandWifi quite poor, sometimes did not work I feel the photos were a bit misleading since the views of the beautiful countryside were actually taken from the back of the hotel behind the parking lot. False information about opening times for bakery, was disappointed that I was unable to buy bread at the end of my stay.
Beds super comfortable, very good location in Kaysersberg. Fantastic food at both gourmet restaurant and ‚normal‘ restaurant.

Switzerlandas it’s supposed to be a 5 star hotel, the tea offerings should be better (better quality, choice and brand name). I would have appreciated a welcome basket in the room with fruit, snacks or something. the towels were also quite basic as were the shampoos etc. Again for the price, would have expected better quality.
the rooms were very stylish and the bed was comfortable
