To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

South KoreaThe A/C in the room didn't seems to be working right because when we came in it was very hot. Being outside in 90 degrees weather to come in to the room with little A/c. We didn't get new clean towels the next day. The mini fridge in the room didn't seem to be working. It was hot the entire 2 days we stayed there.
The location was right next to the metro. You could go buy food, restaurants were right in reach. McDonald's down the street very expensive though.

IrelandOur check-in was for 15:00 and we arrived in the hotel around 12~ the receptionist was very nice at all times, and we could check in at that time, I forgot her name but she was really nice tell her thank you! When we got in our room the aircon was on and that was great because outside was very warm already, we got a free bottle of water in the fridge, the room was wider enough, bigger than what I was expecting. The mattress was really goody as well, I even took a picture of the brand to see if I might buy one in the future 😅 thank you all staff

South AfricaLanguage was a huge barrier. I just dont understand why you would have receptionists who cant speak English when it is such a universal language. The restaurant was not open for most of our stay there. I missed breakfast and wanted to have something at the hotel restaurant and it was closed for the day. The heat wave was too much and asking for ice from the bar was a huge mission The day I went for breakfast, most of the items were finished and not replenished
I booked the hotel because of its association to Mecure chain.

Room is ok, breakfast is good, offering 3 coffee machines, the location is not close to downtown, however you can reach by taxi or uber from EUR 27 to 32, and from airport EUR 41, and there is metro beside the hotel, you can find different restaurants and carrefour market is in short distance... The hotel offered me 2 complimentary drinks for the whole family for each night which was very nice of them..
