To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

BelgiumThe rooms were lacking some 'luxerious' options. There was no bathroom equipment besides a 5 in 1. The breakfast was very limited. The alarm went off 3 to 4 times in a span of 2/3 hours. The room itself had the feeling like it's getting outdated
The staff is super friendly and tried to help as good as possible. The room was spacious enough and had all the needed equipment. Good positioning within Paris which allows you to get everywhere within half an hour.

GreeceThe room was dirty (601) and the sink in one of the bathrooms was not working properly. We asked for a toothpaste and were prompted to pay for it. No bathrobes (as described in rooms descritpion). Only two pairs of slippers (instead of four). However, regarding the issue of the clenliness of the room after a couple of requests from us the night shift's manager in person came to apologize and brought a vacuum to clean it himself.
Great location, very close to metro & bus stations and restaurants. Very big suite (family of 4) with two spacious rooms with ensuite bathrooms and a seperate ensuite shower. Average(+) breakfast.

Breakfast buffet was very good, only one of the 2 lifts were working so for a building with 9 floors and 3 basements (for the car park) there was quite a wait for the lift. During a busy spell the car parking could be tight but there was a car park across the road if needed, we were lucky and did not. Overall we had a good stay and would go back again.

BelgiumVery hot in the room. The thermostat didn’t work well. One of the elevators was broken, the other one was busy all the time. Unfortunately, the elevator is only reachable by a few stairs, so it’s not really wheelchair friendly. There is a small extra open elevator, but it’s key operated. Disappointing… The room was clean, but a bit outdated. Bathroom needs some care. We had a large discount, would never pay the normal fee.

United KingdomPaper cups instead of proper crockery and glasses in the room and bathroom. Shower head wouldn't stay in place, kept sliding down the pole, shower screen wouldn't stay in place either. Towels were small and a bit threadbare, cheapest tea and coffee packets, no milk. Bare minimum of facilities. But they seem to get away with it because Paris is such a tourist trap, even though the whole city has gone downhill with some areas resembling more a scene out of Bladerunner than the No 1 tourist destination in Europe.
The public areas are pleasant enough and breakfast was good.

United KingdomIt’s a bit outdated, our bathroom had mould. The reception looks fine, but as soon as you get to the 2nd floor (where our room was), it just didn’t look clean or we’ll taken care of, but you might be lucky and get to the room and it’s not that bad. We asked for a cot bed but it was falling apart and didn’t look safe, so we ended up not using it, but didn’t complain.
Love the location, very close to the metro, great access to everything, just perfect. Very friendly stuff, everyone was just helpful.

IrelandI liked the restaurant lady, with the blonde hair. She could of been one of the managers. She did recommend a very nice desert, which I had to share with my husband and daughter, because it was so tasty. Also she recommended and helped my husband to buy entrance tickets to Tim Burtons show, the Labyrinth. Don’t think, we would of managed to buy, if it wasn’t her as it was all in French language. Also male receptionist was very nice and informative.

United KingdomIt’s dated. Everything seems a bit worn out. The AC is on barley functional. Had 3 rooms and all 3 were not able to handle the 28-30 degree heat in the week we stayed. Everything is dated and worn out and house keeping cleaning levels not great.
