We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It's a budget hotel, with the emphasis on budget, facilities basic and room adequate for 2 nights to enjoy the airshow

United KingdomI was charged an extra €5 for late check-in, but it seemed unnecessary as they had the automated check-in in place. The room could have been cleaner, there were few spider webs and a small one visited my bed while I was sleeping (it's OK I hugged it as a teddy bear and continued sleeping). We didn't meet any staff member while we were there, so we couldn't ask for anything (there's a telephone in the reception, but we didn't use it as it was nothing urgent).
The room was simple and nice, the door system worked very well so we checked in without any problem, long after the reception was closed. The shared toilets seems to have an automated clean up system after being used.

United KingdomThe receptionist or manager was unable to log onto his PC for 20 minutes and then spent another 20 minutes figuring out how booking.com bookings work. It took me 40 mins to get my room. But aside from that, he was a peasant person. Also the sockets in my room were in inconvenient places and were too loose to use.
Usually this company is fine, price and parking are always good.

FranceDrunk people screaming in the corridor until 1 AM harassing neighbour females. They eventually triggered the fire alarm in the middle of the night. The cleanliness of the shared bathrooms is far below acceptable. Some bathroom lights would automatically switch off as soon as you close the door. Most of the hair dryers were out of order.

NetherlandsThis hotel is ideal for travelling through, its cheap and clean. You can park your car outside for free. Its easy to find and short distance from center and highways. Dont expect anything fancy, this is a minimalistic hotel. The shower is a blast! I stayed in this hotel to visit Chateau Chambord, the most beautiful Loire castle.
