Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AlbaniaIt was not a standard hotel. There was no housekeeping. The payment method was strange. They asked for documents to be sent by email. The door code and instructions to access the room were sent two days before departure.
The location was perfect. It was nice and comfortable.

United KingdomI struggled to get response from staff via chat before arrival which was stressful, trying to confirm they had received our ID. The kitchen was a little sparse, only one fork, no tea towel or cloth to wipe surfaces. Had to get new batteries for the TV before it would work. These are all easy things to improve to make the stay perfect!
Lovely modern apartment, with lounge areas on entry to the building, it felt like a boutique hotel. Secure entry to the building and room via keypad. Although it's not a hotel there was always a helpful member of staff on hand. Good bed, great shower, useful kitchenette too. A huge bonus was the location. The building was in a quiet side road, but just a few yards away is Rue Montorgueil, running from the 2nd into the 1st Arrondisement, the perfect Parisien road, filled with cafes, patisseries, fancy chocolate shops, and mostly pedestrianised. Keep walking, and you have easy access to lots of great stores, modern and vintage, and there's also a new Westfield shopping centre. Something for everyone in this area! Keep on walking and you are soon at the Seine, near Notre Dame or the Louvre, or head for Pompidou Centre and Le Marais district. Incredible!

Malta- the communication is really bad, they request you to send a pic of yourself with your ID & of your bank card to prevent fraud but do not reply to any emails, nor messages. I sent 6 messages over the time frame of 8 days and NO replies, same goes with the email provided. Called the customer service via booking and they were able to get hold of the place and promised they would send an email, never happened. The day of arrival comes and booking recommended visiting the residence to see if somebody is there, somebody was there luckily and I could pay at the premises but communication really needs to be improved!!! - we were room 9.5 and the window was actually facing a little backyard without any proper daylight, which might be great if you like to sleep in - keep the door of the bathroom open during the day for proper ventilation, otherwise it might smell bad - a bit overpriced but I heard it’s normal for Paris
- the location is just great, close to hip streets with lots of restaurants, bars & shopping possibilities - building is in a quiet street though, we didn’t hear any noises - room size was enough for 2 people for a couple of days - got some toiletries: body shower + shampoo

South Koreaafter payment, After payment, the hotel asked me to send photos and ID photos of myself and the other people who will be staying at the hotel, in order to prevent scams, which have recently happened, We sent all of the requested photos, but it took a long time to get a reply from the hotel about how to access the hotel. So, I had to contact Booking.com customer service. For a moment, I was scared that it might have been a scam because they were asking for all of our sensitive information. The reservation page should have noted all of this.
i visit paris almost every year, and it's been like that over 20 years. so i can say i know paris well as a visitor. this hotel was better than i expected for how much i paid for, clean, location, style, comfortable, all was better than i imagine it would be. this hotel is definitely the one i would look for, for next visit.

United KingdomThe water from the shower in my room did not drain completely which meant when I got back in the evenings I had to ventilate the room as it smelt bad. There could have been a few more shelves for my clothes and also the hanging space is short, fine for tops and shirts but not long dresses. Everything was tidy and clean but they missed a few tricks such as providing a coffee pod or two for your arrival and soap to wash your hands with. (They do provide shower gel and shampoo).
The Location is really central, surrounded by lots of nice bars and restaurants. The area felt safe. The room was spacious and has small kitchen facilities. They provide a toaster, kettle AND coffee machine. There are plenty of plug sockets as well. The air con was effective and had been thoughtfully placed.

Francethe service. it’s not a hotel, making room costs extra money, more like Airbnb but no cleaning tools. I asked for additional blanket because the blanket is too small for two persons. the reception told me they only have on extra blanket for entire property and they didn’t give me any in the end.
the location was perfect, very close to metro station and had many restaurants nearby. despite the kitchen is small but well equipped. the shower is powerful.
