Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaOnly regret that we couldn't stay longer. Another thing that bothered was that there's no elevator so had to carry bags all the way to third floor, but was worth it for all the overall great experience we had.
It truly is a Chateau with a lot of history. The lobby and lounge area are just magical. The rooms although slightly dated are classic and spacious with an open feeling to it due to the double french windows. Our room was overlooking the back green space/ Chateau/ city grounds/nature park. It was just beautiful. You just get that amazing royal feeling right when from entering the property gates. Would definitely recommend this place and visit again if get a chance. The breakfast buffet is great as well, sets you up for a long day ahead

GermanyWe had dinner at the garden restaurant which was fine in terms of food and service. However even with a few torches and candles it was impossible to enjoy the dinner due to the place having been inundated with mosquitos. I felt sorry for the service staff which was just as much attacked as the guests. Next time I am going to bring my own mosquito spray.
We had booked a room in the old part of the chateau but realizing that there is no elevator and traveling with a lot of luggage we changed to the new building with elevator. The room was spacious and overlooked the magnificent park. The room had Aircondition and a spacious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was continental buffet style with everything from fresh fruit and yoghurt to a selection of cheeses and cold cuts. There were 2 coffee machines, with good quality coffee and a choice from Espresso to Latte. The staff were extremely helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.

NetherlandsThe minifridge didn't really seem to work, there's alot of mosquitos. The road towards the hotel was a bit unclear if you could drive there because there's a sign that says parking for the hotel but also a sign that says no cars but you can just drive there.
The location is amazing if you want to be a bit outside the citycenter. The staff is very friendly and very helpfull! The room was good size, clean bathroom, free wifi and the room has AC. We had a room that looked out over the courtyard which was absolutely beautiful! There's plenty of parkingspace and easy to reach! The hotel itself is absolutely stunning.

United KingdomThe sat nav details on Booking.com need to be amended as you end up at the wrong end of the park at a dead end. We weren’t the only guests to have had this issue.
Location was stunning in a beautiful park with walks through the trees. The hotel provided a map which explains the history of the house and grounds along with details about the many sculptures along the route. Staff were so obliging and friendly. They helped us book a table at a local restaurant (highly recommend La Cour de Chaussers) as there isn’t a restaurant on site. A list of local restaurants was given to us on arrival. Breakfast was in a beautiful room in the main part of the chateau and provided a huge choice. I can’t think of anything that wasn’t there! Fresh fruit salad, cooked meats, cheeses, cereal, scrambled eggs and bacon, you name it! Our room was quiet, modern and very comfortable. It had a little balcony with chairs overlooking the park. All rooms would have beautiful views here.

AustraliaThe Chateau is in a lovely parkland location, popular with people who love the outdoors. Beautiful scenery and plenty of parking. The Chateau is a journey into another realm and the staff make you feel welcome. It is a quiet place away from the city and bustle. Very affordable!

RomaniaThe rooms are beautiful and clean, the breakfast had many options to choose from and the parking is big enough (they also have charging stations for electric vehicles). You can go and get coffee and tea at any time of the day. They also have a spa on the property, but given the short stay, we didn’t get the chance to try it. We’ll surely return here, as it’s a very nice hotel to stay at.

AustraliaThere isn’t a lift but carry a small bag up the stairs and you won’t be disappointed.
The chateau sits amongst beautiful grounds. The room and bathroom were spotless. Beds were comfortable Many beautiful paintings and objects found around the chateau. There is tea and coffee available downstairs. There is a beautiful sitting room to relax in. The staff were extremely helpful during check in and departure. GermanyBreakfast variety on hot options is slightly limited but still a very good spread.
Perfect location for a quiet romantic weekend. Located about 20 mins from the Strasbourg city center with very limited public transport - so travelling by car is recommended. The site is beautiful set in the midst of beautiful walking trails. Service is excellent. We were in the renovated section and the rooms were large and roomy. beds were firm. Pillows were european soft :) . Nice option of a 24hour tea coffee lounge accessible to guests only. Just a lovely setting.

HungaryNo elevator and narrow staircases( old historical building cannot gave these facilities, I assume). Was a bit loud in the night as some young tourists were having late party, and no reception/staff to solve the issue.
Very beautiful building with a big park! Nice breakfast! Easy to park( big parking lots next to palace and outside ). Very friendly staff, clear obstructions for those who arrive late ( after 22:00).
