The hotel closes its gates at 10.00. You are given a security code, but on the one occasion we returned at 9.45 (having realised we had left the code in our room) the hotel gates were already locked and no one was answering the phone. Thankfully some other guests came to our aid. There is no service in the hotel after 10.00.

A stylish, tastefully decorated hotel in a great location. Our room was clean and comfortable. There is also a pleasant downstairs lounge. On-site parking available.

The location of the hotel was perfect for visiting the town with excellent named parking. We had an excellent reception with help with the luggage. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was large.

Officially, the street is closed to all but cyclists: this needs to be made clear to prospective guests. Limited space in parking

I'd stayed here before, years ago, and was pleased to find it again. Elegant, old-fashioned (a piano in the lounge?), tastefully furnished guest room with v comfortable bed. Helpful reception staff: think the manager/ proprietor was there as I arrived and left: a nice touch Beautifully laid-out breakfast

I would have liked some snacks available in the room as I arrived late in the evening. The tea station didn't have coffee or breakfast tea & milk, though there were a selection of herbal & green teas.

The building has lovely old architecture. The rooms were large and high ceilinged. There was a comfortable beautiful salon (lounge) on the ground floor. The hotel provided a classic French continental breakfast buffet, together with a "boil your own egg" machine! It feels like a real traditional hotel, a million miles from the chain hotels I am often put in for business trips. There staff are friendly, were patient with my French, but also speak English. There's a door code to get in after the reception closes at 10pm.

The breakfast was ok but was a bit limited in choices. The tea selection was poor for example. The radiators in the room are noisy and could do with bleeding.

The location was great, really easy access. The room & hotel decor is original. The bed was comfortable. The croissants in the morning were good.

Well established hotel in a substantial villa on a side street close to the centre of town, with a pleasant garden entrance beneath an art deco canopy. Comfortable room with en suite shower room ingeniously inserted into it. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Good value. It felt authentically French.

The hotel is in downtown Pau, within easy walking distance from the Promenade and interesting parts of the City. The Staff were extra friendly and helpful. When we asked what we should see, the young woman gave us a map and drew a walking tour on it for us. Our room had plenty of space and the public rooms are attractive. The breakfast had good variety. I highly recommend it!

The location was excellent for visiting the restaurants and tourist areas of the city. Staff was super helpful in giving us dining recommendations. The room and bath were very clean and the bed was comfortable. Loved the aesthetics of the place. It was nice to have parking available.
