Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaNot a bad place to stay, but definitely overhyped and overpriced! The food options were very limited and the restaurant area feels old and outdated. There are definitely other glass igloos that are way better than the ones here. Here the igloos are very close one to the other… it takes away a lot of its charm.

United States of AmericaOur room came equipped with a mini kitchen, however there was not a store within walking distance or on property to be able to buy materials to make use of it, unless you came with a car (we did not). The shower is "open" it only has about a quarter wall which means the water sprays all over during your shower.
The scenery was AMAZING, the inhouse restaurant served many traditional meals and were all good quality. The activities on sight although pricey were well worth it. The guides are all knowledgeable and really care about their work.

RomaniaThe food was very poor and tasted quite bad. Maybe it should not be included in the price of the accomodation and have a menu with good food because I ate some of the best finland authentic food at other hotels.
We saw the aurora in the first hours we got there for 10-20 min even if it was cloudy and snowed the whole day. The igloos are very nice, but do not have heated glass so the view can be obstructed by ice or snow and do not have shower. The staff are very nice and helpful.

Saudi Arabianeed prior booking of adventure sports else they will not accommodate and you will be doing nothing there. I could not see Santa house after repeated requests. I could not do reindeer ride as I did not book in advance. breakfast very average and staff is new and inexperienced.
The adventure sports and location is amazing. the igloo has its own fun. Husky ride is awesome.

United States of AmericaThis is completely on us, and not the resort. We booked this stay in conjunction with other activities in southern Finland and were not fortunate enough to get a grand Aurora Borialis view.
Our arrival was via bus out of Rovaniemi. The stop for the bus was at the "East Village", which was not yet open for the season and noted as such on the door. The notice included a map to the "West Village", but a quick calculation of the distance (via the scale provided) indicated that it was too great to walk. A quick call to the number provided and very friendly and accomdating driver arrived to transport us the seven kilomters to the West Village. The check-in was very quick with an abundance of information provided, including a map of the resort and a list of activities available to book. Our upgraded cabin was locate a short distance from the main lodge.

AustraliaWe stayed in a Kelo (wood cabin with glass igloo attached) in Autumn during a cloudy and rainy period. - the beds and pillows were not very comfortable (very thin mattresses). - the Kelos are built too close together with light pollution from other Kelos blocking out the view of the night sky in the glass igloo even when the sky is clear. This also shines into the bedroom. I raised this and management said they could not turn off the lights of the unoccupied Kelos for safety/insurance reasons. - I would not stay in a Kelo again.
Absolute masterpieces of cabins, all made of wooden logs. The Kelo has a great private sauna attached and a glass igloo attached (note dislikes below). - beautiful bridge across a creek to walk to the reception and restaurant - very good selection (yoghurt, deli meats, egg, bacon, pancakes etc) at the buffet breakfast with some items changing daily. - beautiful restaurant, conference venue and planetarium

United Arab EmiratesThey were not ready for guests, first day of arrival the restaurant was closed, even in the second day there was no breakfast! There is no room service, no one came to clean our room for 3 days. When I booked the room I read about the activities they have, but when I arrived at the hotel I was shocked that they did not have any activity, I spent 3 nights in my room doing nothing.
The place was good, creative idea of staying in the woods.

EstoniaSauna is nice but the heater is way too small for the room. Whatever you try, the max temperature you can reach is 70 degrees. For us nordics it is not considered as sauna :-). Fortunately there is smoke sauna in the tourist center, recommend to try this. There are no hooks at sauna.
It is very stylish log house. Everything you needed is there - small kitchen with dining table, living room and sauna. Nice parking slot at the entrance. Not far from the E75 and the national park. Quiet.

FinlandTiny tinty thing: Only confusion we had that there was no cleaning info. Should we do for example own dishes and throw the thrash out or not? Neither would be an issue for us, but info would be create. I even tried to google.
The cottage was very nice and cozy. No complaining about that. Will visit again and reccommend. The place was super clean and had everything we needed. Sauna was great!

AustriaSome additional "hooks" or clever storage would be helpful in each of them. Nowhere to hang wet clothes. The Igloos are spaced out well, but having taxi's go past and snow clearers in the middle of the night is not so good. The roads should be blocked off. Staff were not very helpful or that friendly to be honest... but because we had planned a lot in advance it did not matter. It was just a bit pointless to ask a question as they wouldn't have a clue.
Igloos were great, very small but as expected. The reclining beds were great and they were a lot warmer than expected as well.

FinlandLunch is not comprised in the price, is good and cheap but with little to no choice. I found the room too hot and lacking a coat hanger.
Breakfast and dinner were really good. We were in the small igloo that was cozy and very nice. Multiple outside activities, with lent clothing to keep you warm. The lack of light contamination allows the observation of stars and Aurora.

United KingdomThe only complaint would be that we arrived and our igloo hasn’t been cleaned and changed over for us from the previous guests so they moved us to another igloo and the temperature control was broken so it was way too hot which meant they moved us again. Once this situation was sorted we had a great trip.
Stunning resort. My boyfriend and I stayed in a small igloo in March and it really was an amazing experience. We weren’t lucky enough to see the Northern Lights but we did have some clear nights where we could see the stars. If you’re staying for more than one night in an igloo you will need to book some activities because once you’ve been on a walk around the resort once you’ve seen it all and there isn’t much else to do. We did the reindeer safari, huski safari and snowmobile safari and had a great time on all of them. The staff were lovely!

IndiaDinner was really bad with just 2 options for starter and main course and just 1 dessert. If you are a vegetarian, then you don't have any option.
Stay at the igloo was amazing. The location was really good. There's lot to explore within the resort itself. One can walk along for some photoshoot. There's an igloo tower from where the views are really good and it's free to visit.
