To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

CanadaI didn't like the fact that no staff were on site overnight. I was an old building over top of stores. The room was quite run down - in need of painting. The title inferred a much more personal stay than it was.

PolandWe had the room with a window opened not to space with fresh air, instead there was the window which could be opened to an inside of the building area (four walls and glass-covered roof), so the ventilation was not natural and there was little day light. The smell from the bathroom pipes was significantly problematic. The room was just by the place where the breakfast was served, so it was less convinient for us. This type of room might be good for someone who stays for one night but not more.
Very kind and ready to give some tourists tips staff. Great location, quite stylish design, silent place during the day, breakfast simple but OK. The possibility of using kitchen and it's utensils is also a real convinience.

IrelandI would suggest to the owners to either improve or scrap the breakfast part. How to improve? I. Give the guests power of choice of 4 breakfasts e.g. 1) scrambled eggs with crispy bacon 2) toast with avocado, tomato and egg 3) pancakes with a maple syrup 4) two croissants with chocolate. All with a choice of an orange and apple juice, tea and coffee. II. Ask the guests the evening before to fill in the breakfast form (on which they would also mark their preferred time for the meal). Although the floor panels look great and are practical to clean/maintain, I would put carpets throughout the communal areas (corridors and breakfast hall). This way late arrivals or night owls would not disturb sleep of the others.
The b&b has its charm. The room itself was very presentable, with a large double bed and one single bed. Both were very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and modern, there was liquid soap and a shampoo, and water was wet and warm 😁. Location wise you are approx. 25 minutes walk from Basilica De La Sagrada Familia, and approx. 40 minutes walk from the old town/marina. You are conveniently located near bus No. 59 or 24, both of which will bring you to the city centre. You are also a drop of a hat from City Tour hop-on/hop-off Red Line stop No. 17, which again takes you to the city centre, if you have your daily trip booked. There is a choice of great restaurants and Tapas bars in the vicinity (I strongly recommend to avoid city centre eateries); ask your hosts for great food and drink.

United States of AmericaBreakfast ! Coffee was not hot and the coffee and milk carafes weren’t kept full (I hate to whine but it’s so important in the morning to have good coffee and lots of it!) and the breakfast itself was not great.
Location was great. We arrived at about 8 pm which point there was no one at reception but I have been given very clear instructions for getting into the room so that was fine. The person over seeing the hotel the next morning (I forget his name) was charming and very kind.

NetherlandsOur room when opening our door gave directly into the breakfast room so it was a little noisy in the morning. Breakfast was very simple and repetitive, we wish there was more choice and better quality ingredients. Our room had no real window but instead a patio to an inside tower in between apartments so there was not a lot of fresh air, but maybe a window to the street would have been very noisy.
Umma is very conveniently located in the center of Barcelona. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was simple but pretty roomy, and it was kept clean and had what we needed as far as plugs, bathroom amenities, closet space etc. The air conditioning was a life saver for this period of the year in Barcelona.
