the room is dark because the only window it has, looks to the inside of the building.

i loved the location and the buildling. the bathroom was spacious and the shower is wonderful, it has very good water pressure and temperature. the breakfast is wonderful! you have a great selection of ham, cheese, cereal, bread, eggs, etc.

Only criticism was the only mirror was in bath or in the entrance hall, so for getting ready it wasn't the easiest

Some of the staff were a bit unfriendly, the exception were the bell boys & reception who were pleasant & helpful, others could be a bit more welcoming.

Excellent location, very spacious, clean & comfortable room on the 17th floor with a great view over the plaza. We only ate breakfast which was run extremely efficiently by very hard working staff. No waiting for a table or queues at the food stations. Great selection of food. Rooftop bar was impressive but unfortunately too cold during our stay.

My room is a little bit small and the furniture is simple. The half-door of the shower makes me worrying about splash water to the bathroom, but this may be the standard of many hotel in Spain. My room doesn't face the front so it doesn't provide me a very nice view but on the other hand it is very quite without any street noise.

The hotel is centrally located with walking distance to many attractions. Metro is only 10 meters away from the hotel door. The breakfast is superb with many selections of juices, fresh fruits, eggs, cheeses, meats, fishes, and various desserts, in a spacious dinning area. The staff is polite, nice, and always ready to help. Room and bed are cleaning. The view from the roof top terrace bar is gorgeous.

There were no slippers or other personal care products, only shampoo, duschgel and body lotion. we had some very cold nights, the air conditioning in the room does not work in heating mode, we only had one blanket to cover. Towels had stain on them and the floor did not feel very clean. the pool is open only in weekends.

Excellent breakfast but not fabulous. Location was perfect and the view from the room and the rooftop was breathtaking. Comfortable beds, we were upgraded for free to a family room which was pretty nice.

The location of the hotel was great. The hotel was crowded but staff was very efficient in moving things along. I loved the automated elevator system - you have to scan your room key when going up to your room on a scanner in the lobby and it pops up your floor and tells you which elevator to take. The elevator comes immediately, you hop on and it stops on your floor. No buttons to press at all once you scan your key card. Everything is automatic. I was very impressed as I have not seen this before. Breakfast is enormous - including champagne!

Everything about our stay at Riu Plaza Espana has been lovely. Every staff member we have come into contact with has been both friendly and professional, and we are grateful that they are happy to speak English. Our 6th floor room is spacious and modern, the beds are extremely comfortable and the aircon works well. Breakfast options are amazing!
