To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Convenient location but you need to be very careful of pickpockets. Breakfast was not included but it didn't look that great anyway. Best tip - go and grab breakfast at the market.

United KingdomWe had an issue with our apartment door not locking behind us a few times nor open for us no matter how many times we tried the keys or had the cards reset having gone back to reception several times. A unique issue for us that maintenance were sent round to fix but in the end we persevered.
The location was great and the staff were professional and helpful.

It was in a great location just off La Rambla. Being so close, it could have been very noisy but it felt like an oasis to us as soon as we entered.

United KingdomThe only complaint was the hard mattress. We were both aching by the end of our stay as we're used to a softer mattress.
The location was perfect - a little oasis in the bustle off La Ramblas. The staff were so kind, helpful and friendly. It was clean and the courtyard bar and seating area were fabulously relaxing.

United KingdomBathrooms are a bit old and worn - shower doors didn't close full so water went everywhere, bathtub shower flooded and one room had a luke warm shower. Showers were also a bit grimy.
Fabulous location, in the heart of the city but off the main road so it's quiet. Staff were friendly, helpful and so lovely! Terrace is great, lots of seating, good food and great for a drink or to hang out.

SingaporeThe water heater was leaking in the bathroom, creating a puddle on the bathroom floor. The lift broke down on the 3rd day of my stay. As I was on the 4th floor, it was an inconvenient day.
The hotel was able to offer me an early check-in when I arrived. When I complained about the water heater leak, the hotel immediately upgraded me to a better room, and presented me with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. Good recovery.
