Nothing really. It was quiet there but that suited us. Breakfast good, didn't eat dinner there.

Beautiful building, large room, very helpful staff, hikes all round, well served by public transport. It's in a lovely area.

The breakfast could have been improved. I would have liked some healthy cereals; granola or homemade oats, and cheese that was not cold and fruit that was not canned - like peaches and pears. I think tomatoes should be at room temp and not cold. Dinners were ok. Desserts were good. I would appreciate if staff knew more about hikes. The tea from 5-6pm was a nice idea but the tea cups were so small you couldn't really have a good cup of tea.

The location was very good. The room was comfortable. The grounds were good and we were close to trailheads and the bus. The coffee from the coffee machine was very good. Staff were friendly.

Nothing to dislike but we were lucky to stay here in a quiet period for the hotel.

Very helpful and knowledgeable reception team. We had an Executive Room that was well-equipped and spacious. with a very comfortable king size bed. Excellent breakfast with a good range of fresh breads, pastries, cereals, fruit and yoghurt. A warm buffet breakfast was also available, though not individually cooked. Good quality coffee from a branded machine and a wide range of black and fruit/herbal teas also available. We stayed for 4 nights in February and the hotel was relatively quiet, and only a couple of minutes walk into the small town of Santiago del Tiede. The hotel caters for walking and cycling groups of varying sizes, and I can imagine that the buffet breakfast experience could be very different when busy.

Nothing much to complain about really, I have seen more extravagant breakfast buffets but it was still good.

Quiet location and good parking. The rooms were spacious although my wife found the bed not the most comfortable. I didn't have a problem.

Maybe we were unlucky but the restaurant food we had was not so good for the price compared to other places in the village.

A great place to base yourself to explore the surrounding area. Some fabulous walks/runs from the hotel. The hotel was relaxing and quiet we extended our stay as we felt so comfortable. Good breakfasts. Staff friendly and accommodating.

We only stayed one night, after a massive delay at the airport picking up our hire car, we arrived at 21.10, sadly the kitchen had closed and there were no other places in town open for food. The lady in reception found us a bowl of nuts and sold us some beer. Wasn’t the best start to our trip, the lateness of our arrival wasn’t the fault of the hotel, but perhaps they could have found us some bread and cheese? However it is a lovely place, very clean and comfortable.

Perfect base for exploring the wilder parts of Tenerife.

The location of the hotel was perfect for visiting both the northern cost of Tenerife, including Masca and for easy access onto the main southern road (TF-1). The hotel is situated in extensive grounds with plenty of free parking. The room was large and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of fresh meat, fruit and bread. There is limited hot options, but still plenty of choice. Nice patio available for eating breakfast. Hotel is in a small town with a variety of local places to eat if you fancy a change from the hotel restaurant.

The only thing that irritated me a little was the staff kept clearing the table before you'd even finished eating. They'd unnecessarily take away the second placement, despite it not being used, and would come and clear dishes immediately, giving the feeling they were rushing you off the table. If they didn't do that, and they weren't busy, then the restaurant meal would have been a lot more relaxed..instead, it was more like 'eat your food and go ASAP'. They also didn't allow me to charge the drinks or meal to my room, very odd for a supposed 4* hotel For the rest, all was fine.

Very quiet hotel set in a tranquil environment, albeit it a little weird with some odd buildings dotted here and there. Breakfast was a good spread, plenty of choice. Great access for hiking trails if that's what you want

Perfect stay for Hiking and visiting La Masca

It was a quiet period and many facilities seemed closed - but apparently there is a sauna and cycling room. There isn't really a bar, but there are a few local bars and a restaurant 5min walk away.

This is the Perfect place to stay for visiting Masca and doing the local walks. It is a nice complex of buildings, some historic and some modern in the very pretty landscape of Santiago... the hotel is pleasantly decorated, and beyond my (fairly standard) hotel room there was an attractive sitting area that I used to work in. There are also pretty patio areas that one can use if it is warm enough.

Dinner was a little overpriced and not fantastic but no local competition for diners.

A very small town with little in the way of dining options but the hiking is superb. Hotel is very well appointed and geared to hikers and mountain bikers. Very good breakfast options and hotel will pack a lunch for a day hike.

this is a real gem, the location is amazing and so close to Masca Valley (a must see). the hotel grounds are amazing, with a real rustic charm. the antique farming equipment is very interesting. the rooms are wonderful, we stayed on the first floor and had the most wonderful ceiling in our room. the facilities are brilliant and the bathrooms are the best I’ve seen on the island! the food was exceptional, we had the most amazing fish paella!
