Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only upset we had was that the Sofa Bed did not open properly. We tried to get it open but it appeared to be broken. Therefore, one of us had to sleep on the normal sofa which was not comfortable. Another downside is that the water in the shower kept going cold. We went as a group of 5 and after 2 people went the water would go cold. This was not convenient as it made us get late and delayed our plans as the others had to wait till the water got hot again.
Very spacious and very clean. Amazing location, although the barceloneta beach was abit far, the lesseps metro was literally next door and was very easy to access. It took us everywhere we needed and was very east to use. The digital keys was very handy as its on ur phone and didnt have to be responsible of any physical keys. Also, the property gave many things such as an iron, cups, large fridge and much more. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again :)

SwitzerlandTerrible maintenance of the place: main entrance of the building + the apartment - Sofa bed was broken and was replaced one day after: they did not give us any compensation for having to guest sleep on the floor as the sofa bed did not open properly - Many broken doors with dents - Bathrooms with humidity marks and significant mold - Seating chair in the living room full of stains - Dinning table in very bad condition / many edges without paint - No drawers: for long stay it is uncomfortable to have your clothe in the luggage as not everything can be hanged - No clothes hanging clips - Dishwasher door was loose and would fall all the time when opening it / Quite dangerous - Drying machine malfunctioned due to dirty filters ( we cleaned them) - Stains on many places (walls, light switches, lamps, courtains) - There are no dark blinds in the living room: so people sleeping in the sofa bed get light since 6AM Overall the place does not meet the expectation and pictures posted online are far away from the reality. It is clear that maintenance is not a priority for them
Nothing to highlight, everything was below expectations: I paid 282 / night and pictures on the internet where not accurate Maintenance people that had to come into the apartment to make some fixings where nice people and the place had parking

United States of AmericaThe onerous checking process for this apartment should be disclosed in their description, not after you have paid. You have to go to their office very far from the property to collect the keys. They know a taxi is waiting and they still take their time, instead of having the package ready. You can use a long list of instructions to autokey with your phone. No one is there to show you the apartment and how to use their appliances and verify what is or is not there or the state of the place. The apartment is pretty stark with the absolute minimum. It is cleaned on the surface, but when you go get the ironing board, that by the way, has no pad so it is useless, there is lots of dust next to the dryer, the extractor in the bathroom is also pretty dirty and not of much use. The walls are in dire need of painting and some of the furniture has seen better days. The trashcan had a terrible smell. I would not stay here again; it is very expensive and far for my purpose, and for what you get even though Barcelona is very expensive overall.
It had an elevator. Towels and sheets were clean. It had a terrace
