Be aware that El Born became quite a party place, so it might be noisy at night, especially weekends.

Great location, you're within the El Born, just a few minutes walk to the Gothic Quarter, and near the train station. Even if you won't get the apartment with the big balcony, you still get a mini ones, and there's a big terrace at the top of the building. Great communication from the staff, clear instructions about your stay, checking in, and out. No problems with getting the deposit back. The balcony doors, and windows, are pretty good with cutting the noise.

The only thing we didn’t like were the pillows. They were super thick and we found we didn’t sleep as well as we normally would.

Bed was too soft and the toilet was a bit smelly. Also very noisy at night so I used my headphones till 3.30am!

Amazing location! Very charming apartment in the old city. Just note that there is no lift and the spiral staircase is steep and narrow, this was a bit of an issue with the luggage but otherwise fine.

amazing stay and apartment but wouldn’t stay again due to the stairs. very steep and very hard when it is so hot in the summer. otherwise location was amazing, appartement was clean and have what you need to cook and air cond was very nice I got sick during my stayed so I really enjoyed having Netflix on the TV

The description of the stairs should be in the main description, not in the “small print”. If I visited the studio with a small child (with pushchair and child to carry up and down stairs), or had any kind of mobility limitation, or even had a bulky suitcase, all the positive aspects of my visit would be overshadowed by the stairs. I highly recommend Deco studios, but only for unencumbered visitors.

Perfect location for all the loveliness that del Born offers: cafés and bars, Picasso museum, urban sketching (seats in shady spots and glorious views all around), architecture, street buzz and so on. Carrier del Rec (the road the studios are on) has a fabulous independent magazine shop called Chantal and the best tapas-style Chinese food at Mosquito bar. The studio was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. Air-con and Wi-Fi were great. We would definitely return!

The stairs really is a small, winding stairs. Hard to maneuver when bringing your stuff up or down. Travel light is our tip. If you have bad knees of a bad condition, ask which floor your apartment is before confirming. If you are a light sleeper: bring earplugs. It was not very bad but as Deco Apartments say: it can stay crowded outside until 3 am. We slept well though.

Good size apartment. Airco managed to keep the room at an OK temperature. The location is perfect: best neighborhood in Barcelona.

I didn’t know the apartment was a 5th floor (to American standards) with no elevator. The staircase is steep and narrow. Try taking two or three suitcases up that staircase and you will not want to wander around Barcelona unless you are starving. There were no extra pillows, only two. There was no extra coffee either, just the two pods for two people. I was already kind of disappointed with the property from the get go. I paid originally with booking.com with my Amex but the apartment company claims they don’t accept AMEX, so they make you do separate payments (in my case, the payment that didn’t go through and separately the payment for the deposit) using their link which made me a bit uncomfortable wondering if this was a fraud. In the end, of course, no fraud, but I was not excited about the property since before my arrival due to all these back and forth messaging. In my opinion, not worth what I paid for.

The bed was comfortable, quiet place despite being in the middle of the crazy weekend night life.

The stairs was very steep and dangerous, but that was clearly stated in the description.

We arrived early and left our bags in the office. The proprietor later took our 20kg bag up the very steep stairs to our apartment so we didn't have to return to the office before closing. Really appreciated that.

stove takes a while to get going to cook but isn’t every stove always a little different in it’s own way. I think they should add a couple cushions to make the sofa comfier and a bottle opener / corkscrew.

what a great place, up above the El Born streets and the hustle and bustle, quiet with the windows open but lots of places to go and visit downstairs. staff were great the whole way through and the apartment has lots of design features and places to tuck away suitcases etc. the terrace is nice also, it’s up on the roof and has views of the church, sagrada familia in the background. it is up 4 floors of winding stairs, that’s not a problem (glutes got a work out this week) but something to be prepared for. check in is easy and quick. there’s no laundry but there are laundrettes nearby that are clean, cheap and have good dryers.

It was amazingly narrow, steep stairs up to the apartment. For us it didn't work out with the noise from the street, as it was really heavy noise until 03.30 in the morning. Then the cleaning cars started, and some noise continued. We had booked 3 days in Barcelona, but had to move to a new apartment after this first night. As we had paid in advance for this apartment it turned out to be a very expensive vacation having 2 apartments at the same time.

The apartment was nice, and the location is perfect with a short distance to the more crowded areas of Barcelona. It had 3 small balconies, and with access to a nice roof terrace.
