Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe whole experience staying at B&B Sant Pol was excellent. It is located a short walk up into the village from the train station and main street. I was greeted by the owner when I arrived, who offered me something to drink--water, coffee, etc. while she showed me around. The building is newly renovated and tastefully decorated--open spaces, wood beam ceilings, tall doors, brick walls and tile floors. There is a kitchen that can be used to prepare light meals like salads and sandwiches (not cook), an electric kettle to heat water, and a refrigerator to store food items. There is also an espresso machine to make a coffee and self-serve cold drinks available for 1-2 euro. The hosts will prepare breakfast at your request. I didn’t try it, but it looked delicious--eggs, fruit, bread, coffee, tea, and more. You can enjoy eating at a large dining table in the dining room or at one of the tables on the shaded patio outdoors. There is also a large living room/sitting area with a comfortable leather couch. A nice place to read or work. The room was very comfortable and spacious. It has air conditioning, plenty of hangers and shelves to store clothing, and a small chair for sitting. It also has black out shades to make it nice and dark for sleeping. I didn’t hear any noise from the street. The bed and pillows were very comfortable with crisp white cotton sheets and a clean white bed cover. The bathroom and shower were also very clean and new, and the shower has excellent water pressure. The wifi worked well, especially in the public areas. It cycled on and off in my room at times, but not for long periods of time.

United KingdomFor anyone considering visiting Sant Pol De Mar I would highly recommend seeing if B&B Sant Pol has any availability. It is simply amazing. The hosts Marc and Carmen were so lovely and welcoming. At times it felt like staying with old friends. The simple locally sourced breakfast set us both up for the days adventuring (ie sitting by the beach!). And their recommendations of wonderful restaurants to try were perfect. I'm already thinking of a reason to go back!

United KingdomEverything was great and exceeded expectations.
Carmen and Marc were fantastic hosts: super friendly and welcoming, relaxed and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble - they gave us a free upgrade to a bigger room and let us store our bikes in the garage. The rooms are simple, stylish and comfortable and there's a light and spacious shared lounge and kitchen. Sant Pol itself is a charming place, lots of nice places to eat and easy to get to Barcelona on the train. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer, but I'm sure we will be back!

United KingdomNothing - everything went well and we left feeling relaxed and upbeat.
Good communications before arriving - one of the hosts speaks excellent English. Genuine welcome and help with parking the car. Facilities were spotless. The establishment, which the family had built on the site of an old village house, mixes a pleasant stripped/modern aesthetic with comforts of home including an excellent large double bed. Pleasant outdoor area, roomy open plan dining/kitchen and salon areas inside. Hosts could not have been more helpful, obviously enjoy what they do, were generous with useful information and tips (the family has been in the village for several generations and seem to know everyone!). Breakfast is at extra cost but definitely worth the money - lovely fresh bread, cheese, cold meats, plus cereals, yogurts, fruit etc. Sant Pol itself is characterful with a nice sandy beach, fairly compact but has most facilities of a small town including good bars and restaurants. We particularly liked La Republica de Burinons, which features modern but local 'slow food' and has a relaxed vibe. Trains into central Barcelona every 30 minutes, and back until late at night - a great alternative to driving. We greatly enjoyed our stay and intend to return soon - there's so much to see in Barcelona and our four-night low season break really didn't do it justice.
