Awful communication. The place to get the keys is very far from the apartment which if you’ve been travelling for a while is not what you need. Also be sure to write down where you’re meant to be staying when you get to the reception as we ended up going to the wrong place and then we were told to go to another one of their complexes and it was the wrong one! Pretty infuriating when we were travelling with 4 kids and wandering around a very hot Barcelona.

The complex was full of teenagers partying every night until early hours of the morning. The back balcony was like looking at The Bronx, and the teenagers were smoking pot. The unit had no bin liners, no tea towels, only one roll of toilet paper. The lounge was horrible as the timber on the front of the seating area pushing hard on your legs. It wasn't very clean either. The timber floor creaked as you walked on it which woke everybody up at night. The external shutters were broken and couldn't be lowered.

The unit was a good size for 4 adults. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the main shopping district.

When we arrived to the property it did not appear to be like the photos published on booking.com, it wasn’t very clean, marked furniture. We then found the doors did not lock and neither did the shutters work making it completely unsure, we contacted the reception and the male who we spoke to was so unhelpful saying they were not able to get someone out to look at the lock issue, and also could not provide another apartment as fully booked. He said he would try and get someone for the following day to come and fix the problems and would keep us updated via what’s app, we never heard a thing. Meaning that if we wanted to leave the apartment we had to leave it unsecure with all our belongings and passports in. Completely ruined the full trip, raised this with booking.com who tried to speak with the apartment and resolve a refund and have been completely ignored! DO NOT STAY HERE, a hostel would of been better.

The check in process is a nightmare. You book the apartment, need to drive to a location where it’s impossible to park to pick up keys. Then you have to sign 3 different contracts for which they charge you separately (you will pay transaction fees each time). If you want to use WiFi in the apartment you actually need to have internet on your device already which is a joke! And each time you enter the apartment you have to set up the internet access all over again which is a believe it or not 5-7min process. Never seen this in my life. The apartment on the images is not close to what you get. Walls are stained and water leaks on the ceiling walls is everywhere to see. Walls are dirty overall and probably not painted in years. At night there is like 2 bulbs you can turn on. Lamps are broken. Bathroom is dirty with stains everywhere and a broken mirror. Overall this place is a dump which they just sweep between guests. Even a deep clean would not fix the old and smelly rooms. You get 2 different types of instructions where to leave keys. Entrance door needs to be fixed, I had to ask my husband to open them each time etc. if you message the management expect an answer tomorrow the earliest. For emergencies jut rely on yourself. Just a nightmare overall!

Maybe just the parking and the fact that you can walk to the city center (20min walk) and the friendly cleaning people that you meet in the hallways (who look extremely overworked).

Use of the parking garage was expensive. The room wasn’t cleaned before we arrived. Checked in at 4:30 and arrived at 5 to a filthy room that hadn’t been touched since the last guests left. Was made to wait an additional hour and a half for our room to be cleaned and prepared. Once we were able to use the room, the couch smelled so bad we had to put a blanket over it to even consider sitting on it. No apologies or attempts to correct the errors were made. Just a nonchalant attitude of “oh well you’ll have to deal with it”. For the money, I wouldn’t stay here again.

I didn't like the fact that the apartment is at a different, not quickly walkable, location from the reception, which makes it inconvenient after check-in. Unfortunately, I didn't discover this issue while reviewing this accommodation (if I read a number of reviews more carefully before booking, I probably would have). When booking this accommodation, prospective guests need to factor an estimated 9 Euros or more and time to taxi (or take the Metro) over. There were a number of problems with our stay: 1. The front door is tricky to open. It took a number tries by several people to figure out how much to twist (very little) and push the door to get it to open. 2. Given that we had been awake for about 24 hours without sleep when arriving, it was really disappointing to have no towels in our room (this room was booked several months before, so no excuses for failing to do such a basic thing). We would have to wait until after 10 am the following morning before we could get the towels because the reception and our apartment were in two different locations, and no housekeeping services could be provided in the evening. We had a photoshoot scheduled at Casa Vicens the following morning, and fortunately, it was scheduled for 11 am, so we were barely able to get ready in time, factoring in transport and walking times. 3. For a 4-night stay for a family of 4, we were provided with 3 small rolls of toilet paper, which was barely enough for us to use while conserving. Although I had called to request an extra roll, it was not brought to us the following morning. 4. No paper towels were provided, which would have been helpful. For some reason, a number of apartments in Booking.com don't provide towels, which is a low-cost, high value thing to scrimp on. 5. Wireless Internet access didn't work. Our kids tried several times, and the instructions weren't very clear. 6.

It was helpful to have had a centralized staff who could communicate in good English to direct questions to before and during our stay. I liked the contemporary decor and convenient access to a Metro station, which are two of the main reasons why I chose this apartment.

The reception is a 15 min taxi or 30 min walk from property, you have to go there to check in and drop your bags etc. if you have any issues it’s a while away. This was really inconvenient when our keys stopped working. We had to get a taxi over to the other hotel to sort the issue out. Not ideal.

There was not nearly enough toilet paper. Had to go, buy some and tissues. Very noisy next door. No one on stage to enforce the quiet after 11pm. rule. Beds extremely hard and pillows useless if you need to sit up in bed. Window blind in bedroom wouldn't open.

Do not expect any luxury with this apartments, think twice before choosing this if travelling with family. The apartments need some serious maintenance, disgusting when shower/sink does not drain, not enough knives/glasses. Taking turns to have dinner while on holiday isn't fun. Salt&pepper is a standard provided for free in most apartments, not here!! I had seen the bad reviews here about the wifi and they met my expectations in what is amongst the most unstable Internet connections we've had in a hotel in Spain. Cannot count on it at all. The fact you need to go to pick up keys to the other end of the city does again question suitability for travelling with kids and leaves very poor customer experience right from the beginning. They would not even offer the possibility for us to meet an employee at the location with the set of keys.

The location is good, centric. Room size OK and windows to indoor patio so quiet at night.
