the minbar has only soft drinks. All checks miss “the tips” row, and unless you bring a lot of cash with you, you cannot give any tips to anyone when you bill expenses to your room

the restaurant is in the garden, and you get this wonderful country side feeling right in the center of the city

Best service i have had in a hotel in a long long time. The personnel was lovely. Breakfast is outstanding, served in the secluded and quiet garden at the back. Location is very central, rooms are large and modern.

Nothing, they always go above and beyond here. I left an item in my room on check-out, once I realised this, I called the hotel. My call was answered straight away, no call centre, no silly hold music. The item was located quickly and was in reception waiting for me within minutes.

Great location, fantastic service, elegant and modern hotel yet still cosy. Super low key and a very subtle entrance which is a nice touch. The welcome is always a warm one and check-in comes with a beverage of your choice, no complaints here with a refreshing glass of cava.

some of the rooms are quite dark and the lighting is not sufficient to see where things are especially if they are dark. It makes a romantic atmosphere but no use if you can’t find your belongings or can’t read instructions on on items.

An intimate calm from the chaos outside, we could not fault the Alma Hotel. Staff were exceptional and incredibly helpful. The position was perfect, interiors beautifully mellow. The Hotel just flows, the outside space after a long day to relax made our trip even better. The restaurant is well worth visiting and the Spa and Pool an added extra. We wouldn't hesitate to make the Alma our Barcelona home on our next visit.

I loved absolutely everything

I love everything about this hotel: design, location, comfort, but mostly the service! the staff were incredibly friendly polite and professionals. I love the restaurant also, menu was superb and the setting is very cozy in an secluded garden.

The bed was not as comfortable as we hoped. The bar food was great but the restaurant (Dinner) was not amazing.

The only thing was a dirty pool due to maintenance issues but the management offered us some very positive extras whilst our stay.

Really overpriced for what it was, should not have 5*. I was told no gym and no spa upon arrival, which is hard to stomach for the price. My bed also wasn’t made, so I had to make it myself - not really a 5* experience. They gave me 10% off for the inconvenience after I shared my experience - which I thought was a bare minimum and not fully satisfactory.

Breakfast is very simple for a 5 stars. Swimming pool is 90cm deep. Spa needs to be reserved in advance but no control from the staff hence I had to kick a family out (that didn’t book) to be able to enjoy it myself

Many things but most importantly the lack of training of some staff and the lack of coordination and communication between the staff. I give two illustrations. My room (514) has not been cleaned despite multiple requests. I talked with one of your staff and she replied that such a room does not exist and I may confound 513 with 514!!! A second illustration: the day of arrival, I requested to add the breakfast for all my family members for the period of my stay. While the first two days of breakfast, we were not being questioned by the host about the breakfast's fees, the third day a new staff started to question us about the way we wanted to pay and required signature. I told him that this was done the day of arrival and advised him to check with the reception. The same day I went to reception and one of your staff told me that this request has not been incorporated. Your staff is novice and there is no coordination among them.

There is a true intention to be kind and helpful to clients although this intention is not always fulfilled
