The windows didn't close properly, it got a bit cold at night. No english speaken person around. Had to pay for the whole stay at my arrival without having a look at the room before. No good support in organisation tours or even taxis...

It's a lovely old-style apartment with wooden floorboards, high ceilings and stucco on it. Centrally located, next to Parque Caldéron (Of course it will be a bit noisy) Lots of cafés and restaurants around - you really should have a drink in the bar next to the hotel. It's amazing. And you are also close to the main attractions. Breakfast included, hot shower, soft towels, comfortable beds.

It’s by the parque so expect nightlife noise until midnight, it’s the attraction and the detriment. Listed kitchen accessories are not provided, but pick up instant coffee from the TIA a few blocks away.

Beautiful and clean large suite with kitchenette and ensuite bathroom in boutique hotel around the corner from Parque Calderon and all the restaurants, shopping, links to tourist services etc. Rooftop terrace offers a peaceful respite from the city centre location.

The showers are not fancy, they are clean but there's a smell that comes from the pee traps in the sink. They do their best to hide it but it is bad sometimes. The shower with a massager from the picture does not work but for us was not important.

The views are amazing and breathtaking. Only if you pay extra for the views of course. The interior is antique and well preserved. Everywhere is noisy since it faces the street and the central park of the city so I'll recommend bringing earplugs. The inside bedroom is the best for noise cancellation. The staff is amazing super polite and helpful. The breakfast is huge and contains fruit, natural juice, eggs, toast and a pancake.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the review of another person on booking, saying that the coffee included in the breakfast is really nice and strong - we had breakfast three times there - two of the three times it was the same as everywhere - a very light brown, more like brownish water then coffee. The third morning we had nice coffee there, unfortunately I don't know the name of the guy who made it, it was a different person then the two days before.

I stayed at Del Parque Hotel in Cuenca with my mom. We really enjoyed the beautiful colonial style of this old building, the bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean and the staff was very nice. Also the shower was nice and hot. Maria Fernanda and Sebastian were especially attentive and helpful, always willing to help us with our questions and always smiling :)

the bathroom- it was way too small compared to the room. as other reviews mentioned, there is a sewage issue as the bathroom smelled like mold or sewage, we had to keep the noisy exhaust fan on and keep the bathroom door open. housekeeping sprays perfume in the bathroom when they cleaned but it will smell after a while. loud noise from the street- constantly shouting, selling, singing, car horns.. if you can be patient about it then good but this is the case from 7 am to 12 midnight at least “kitchen “ for shared use is not well furnished nor maintained— wish they can make this better 4 flights of stairs to go up!

Will be loud until 11pm as the main square is very busy and there are restaurants all around. But it's worth the stay still. We didn't hear anything much at all after midnight.

Great location in the midst of it all. Literally next to the nueva cathedral. Amazing building and our room was huge! We've never stayed in such a massive room before. The inside was really richly decorated with authentic features from the original building. Breakfast was good.

A beautifully restored hotel off the main square with amazing views of the cathedral. Comfy Beds, hot water and a great breakfast with good strong coffee.

It's an old building and there seems to be a sewage issue, at least in the room I stayed in. The fan needs to run in the bathroom 24/7 to keep the smell at bay. The smell of sewage seeps through the pipes and it made me sick to be in the bathroom for too long. Other than that, I loved the hotel, but I probably wouldn't stay again because of the sewage issue in the bathroom. The wifi is borderline slow too. There's definitely faster wifi available in the area, but they only had around 4-5Mbps being shared across all the rooms and the result is slow Internet and streaming. It was workable, but wifi should be faster.

Excellent location less than one block from Parque Calderon. The rooms are spacious and the Presidential Suite I stayed in had a beautiful view of the church. Large, comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and it was a pleasure to stay at this hotel.

Only thing was, there is a watertank at the top of the roof. When a lot of water is asked, you can hear the tank/engine/something buzzing, not a nice sound, and that happened mostly in the (early) morning. Nothing can be done about it, so we just accepted it.

Amazing property, nice room, even with a kitchenette! We were at the top of the building with nice views and a nice little terrace on the patio. Great personnel, perfect breakfast and what a location!

It takes a long time for the water to become hot. This is not unusual at altitude, but it's something to be aware of.

The check-in was excellent. I was so tired and they took charge of the process, my luggage, setting up wifi on my phone. The people were always extremely organized to be helpful. When I was leaving Fanny, the housekeeper, phoned down for someone to carry my heavy bags. All help was given in a no nonsense fashion. No one expected praise or a tip, it's just part of the service to help. That said, a thank you is always well received. Respect is a two way street.
