tried to sell me to buy melia membership starting at $16,000 after knowing I was extorted at the nearby hospital Hospiten, paying $1,500 for basic wellness check. Food was generic - needed some authentic Dominican flavor

Upon arrival, the room was dirty, I had to request to have it clean. We were very disappointed. The food wasn’t the best, most of the workers seemed like they are upset, hospitality needs improvement.,

The food is below average, overall. The buffet food was mostly good. Room service orders are not consistent (and not many options, anyway).

- the room service is non existent, you call for anything at all, it will never come. It’s that slow - they run out of the towels at the pool also - the alacarte restaurants have the same things on the menu as the buffet so it’s better to just eat the buffet everytime as you’ll get so much more - they cannot take care of dietary restrictions, twice I was served drinks with alcohol inspite of very clearly asking them to be without alcohol. And when I asked my server , they kept insisting that it’s without alcohol (even when I’d taken a sip and realised it isn’t) I had to ask them to taste it to believe me

The location, rooms, and the pool in the adult only zone were really good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The buffet at the ‘lunchbox” restaurant is nice. Activities are also nice

Room/customer service is extremely slow. you can ask about something and didn’t even get it after few days! Until you go to the reception and insist something to be done while you’re awaiting..

The room is a little bit old,but in general it’s nice and clean.

The atmosphere is very nice,and the pools are awesome.Maybe we came in June not high season, we don’t feel it’s crowded. The food is good enough,but we can go to eat in the restaurant besides (The Circle).The buffet restaurant in Circle is excellent.

Our toilet did run a bit while we were there and it took a while to get a handle on the thermostat. It would’ve been nice if citronella candles were one of the amenities in the room if I wanted to go outside after dark and not get bitten by mosquitos

Enjoyed the various restaurant options. The swim up room was great. Private access to the pool in your backyard! Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Lovely place to relax and unwind with friends

Super beachfront location. The beach itself is great too. Resort is very clean and tidy. Very good food in all restaurants. Room was nice and comfortable. Good evening entertainment. Lexington from Guest service did great job and fulfilled all our requests.

Starting to show some wear and tear, some bars didn’t carry all same spirits, pool bar had mostly generic brands, buffet could include more variety maybe, the real “luxury” seems to be reserved, the Circle by Meliá staff should learn how to pitch their program in less time instead of taking 2 hours of your precious vacations.

Overall, the facilities are in good shape, the beach and pools are very clean, the food was tasty and fresh, the service was great, particularly the lobby bar staff: the bartenders Lucia and Luis were super friendly and amazing mixologists, their supervisor Luis always came around for a nice chat, our concierge Felipe took very good care of us; and, Leandro at the steakhouse was the best waiter!

Wonderful stay. Staff are excellent - Yoiner, Emelin, Daris, Mervin, Browlio, Laudis, Gladys, Edson, Jacquelina and so the list goes on and on. The property is so well looked after and the gardens are meticulous and just beautiful. We so recommend a stay here.

Manana is their motto. They’re your friends while you pay, otherwise they don’t care. And they definitely don’t care about some individuals at their beach who sell activities. We bought a scuba diving activity and when we got on a boat my son started panicking. The guy started getting frustrated, almost forcing my son to go. Finally got rid of the guy and he only gave us half of the paid money back. There’s NO REST from these people at your beach. Selling stuff 6x times more expensive as well. They didn’t clean our room in all 5 days that we stayed there. Didn’t do our laundry that you have to pay for on top of this expensive stay at their hotel. Alcohol drinks are DELUTED. I had about 8 pina colada at once and was sober as ever. Restaurants at their hotel - servers would bring you wrong food or just forget to bring at all. They all expect for tips from you. Next time we will rent a house, enough hotel experience.

I checked in on wednesday, asked for a physical bill to get a reimbursement from my office, and they told me they would give it to me on checkout on saturday. When I checked out, they told me it was saturday and couldn’t give me the bill, and had to give them the details for the bill again, for which I had wasted my time on Wednesday writting it down and they couldn’t find that. They told me that I was gonna get the bill in my email on monday. Today is tuesday, I have to bill, nobody answers the phone. Brahian and his supervisor in the front desk where not helpful at all.

Restaurant menus were very limited. No vegatarian options. Service in restaurants poor. Even buffet did not include a vegetarian/vegan option most days. Kids club never did activities scheduled. There was always confusion about what the events were that were suppose to happen. We will not return or recommend . Service at beach was non existent.

They gave us another room than I did order at booking.com. I tried to explain this to the reseption, but they gave the responsability to booking.com. wrong number of beds in the room. No hydromassage bath-thub as in the booking. Connecting rooms in place og master-suite. I sendt them an e-mail, but no answer. The check in was troublesome. My daughter has celiac disease: little knowledge about this in the restaurants and little help to find. No bread for her! We were in a much cheaper hotel the week before; but this was actually betyer. This hotel is not walue for money.
