Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe 30 min drive through the dirt road to reach the property was a bit rough for us driving a sedan, but we managed and were relieved to make it to the hotel without the car breaking apart. The natural pool area had a bit too many bees around, so it was tricky to enjoy our drinks 🙃! The bees were chasing after anything with the faintest smell of sugar. The restaurant servers could benefit from some ‘hospitality’ training but I would say the same about almost all restaurants throughout Punta Cana, outside the all-inclusive hotels. I don’t understand how a country that relies so much on tourism can have so many non-attentive servers.
Extremely charming, quiet, secluded eco hotel with amazing views. A break from the every day beach trips and all the tourist traps. We were not aware of the natural pools and we all, adults and kids in our group loved them! Note that we came early afternoon on a Thursday, so we had the entire property pretty much to ourselves. By Friday afternoon, a tourist bus came for a buffet lunch at the on-site restaurant and to spend time at the pools, so it got a bit crowded for a few hours, but it got quiet after they left again and we continued to enjoy the property until the natural pool closed at 6pm and then drove back to Punta Cana. The personnel at reception was attentive and gave us information for a tour to the Haitises (highly recommended by the way). This was by far, our favorite short trip of our entire 3-week stay in DR. I think that coming mid-week helped avoid the crowds too.

CanadaALL the stairs and climbing. If you have any mobility issues, you're going to struggle to the pool and back to the hotel. While I also appreciate that the "natural" atmosphere is trying to be maintained, it would be nice to have some atmosphere music playing at dinner. We had to request this. Also, as a couple of people in our party retired early because they weren't feeling well, a TV in the room would be nice, as there isn't anything to do at night. We entertained ourselves with music, playing dominos, cards with family and drinking wine, but other than that, there's nothing.
The surroundings are stunning, the natural pools and waterfalls beautiful. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and unique. The restaurant really nice and the food delicious and well priced. The staff are wonderful, polite and very accommodating.

NetherlandsSomewhere to just sit and read a book with a nice view would be nice.
We are a visibly queer and trans couple and the staff was very friendly and unobtrusive. Beautiful views. Access to the natural pools is beautiful, nobody there during the weekdays. Hiking with the hotel's tour guide was great.

Dominican RepublicThe food was not as good as it used to be in the past. But maybe because there was no buffet, due to the very low occupation.

CanadaHard bed Our deluxe room shared a door with another room and we could hear absolutely everything going on there The restaurant pricing was confusing - sometimes à la carte (affordable), sometimes buffet (pricey)
Amazing view from the room Helpful staff On-site dining was tasty The hotel offers tours of Los Haitises and kayak rentals Very quiet at the end of the season (late April) Loved the secluded feeling

United States of AmericaThe walls were very thin, so on the weekend when it was busier, we could hear the neighbors talking and then snoring all night! I would highly recommend going during the week if possible.
The location was beautiful and the pools were simply amazing. It was peaceful during the week, the staff was great, and the room was fine. No A/C but a good fan, great shower water pressure, shampoo and soap included. Restaurant was good- it’s all a la carte so keep that in mind when you order!

United States of AmericaThe towels could be refreshed. wasn't clear if we could take our car up the back road to load our luggage when we left as there were several steps to navigate for our early morning departure.
Loved our view and the water features of the property. The hammock on the balcony was a bonus and it was very quiet and serene. The food was also excellent.

United KingdomThe menu was quite limited in choice. (It also seems to be very close to that of the hotel next door, so you don't get more choice by going there. There is a tour guide who attends the hotel in the mornings, but in our case he could not ensure availability for the day we needed (so we booked elsewhere). Shame. The room was sparse of furniture: Bed, bedside tables, one hammock and several dining chairs. Not much for US$75 per night, but the location and view almost compensated.
The hotel has a distinctive style and is very spacious. The view from the room over the valley was amazing. The staff were very helpful. The food from the restaurant was appetising.

United KingdomThe music. Well we love music generally speaking but when sleeping in the middle of the jungle, which we don't do everyday, we rather listen to the birds and the forest of such a unique place. But they really like music a lot so that it's quite loud a large part of the day. On the second day, we were literally the only guests and had the music also for us alone. So we asked then to turn off the music which they did and said the music was for us. Well, that's nice but so I'm not sure whether they think that tourists are missing music or if locals (there were a lot on the first day) come to this place to listen to music. Would definitely recommend this place either way 👍
Many things. It's a very beautiful hotel in the middle of the jungle and the design of the hotel gives an authentic feeling (despite its concrete). The rooms are special and are also very pleasant. Besides the view on the valley is impressive. We did the boat and jungle hike that the hotel offers and it was really great
