Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThe change of hotel few days before our arriving not for a better place tho...
I liked the service, the breakfast and the location 7min away from the main station. What I didn't like is that we expected a newer hotel and the one we got was a little but dusty. But all fine at the end the stay was quite good !

New ZealandSmall room. Only one pillow per person supplied.
We actually stayed at ProfilHotels Richmond instead of Mercur. We were advised of the change well in advance so this was not a problem. We were walking from Copenhagen Central Station and the Richmond was a couple hundred meters past the Mercur. Was a simple walk from the train station. Room was small and beds soft but comfortable. Really liked two bottles of water provided in the rooms but no creamer for coffee! Recommend nearby Pinchos for dinner. Reasonably priced and great food. You might need to reserve if weekend.

United KingdomOur room was a little on the small side for 2 adults and 2 kids as when the bed was pulled out, there was not much room to manouver. The room was also incredibly hot and when we opened the window, in an attempt to cool down, the constant traffic noise kept us awake. I also did not like the left luggage room as it was accessible to other guests.
The lobby and room were nicely decorated and furnished. It was a stylish hotel and there was a communal fridge we could use.

United States of AmericaDirections from the train station could be more clear. It would be good to specify that guests should take the train and NOT the metro. We got a bit lost because we took the Metro, knowing that the distance from the airport was short.
I don't know how to write this review. They moved our reservation to the nearby Richmond Hotel, which was fine, but you should be aware that ProfitHotels Mercur is currently housing foreign refugees (Ukrainian?) and is not available to be rented by tourists. The hotel did notify us in advance and we did not have any trouble with our reservation when we arrived.

SwitzerlandWe actually booked at ProfilHotels Mercure, but due to overcrowding three weeks before departure we were rebooked at ProfilHotels Copenhagen Plaza without any problems, nice communication and uncomplicated handling. The hotel (Copenhagen Plaza) is a bit outdated but the charm and history of the building is worth a visit. The hotel is very central, right next to the train station and the rooms are very clean. The proximity to the nearby Tivoli is also great, but noise is not a problem. The breakfast is very good, with a large selection and freshly prepared. The hotel staff is very friendly, accommodating and you feel very welcome as a guest from the very beginning. The bar, which is integrated into the hotel, is also a must. Again, very friendly and accommodating.

DenmarkThe pillows and the blanket were for the winter season. They were way too warm. We got disturbed in our room by a staff member who wanted to take something from the room. I had the TV on so I didn't hear when he opened the door and got in... There were problems with the toilet. When you flush the water kept running and was making a lot of noise, so at night I had to stop the main water supply. The breakfast was not too diverse. The walls are thin and you could hear when your neighbours are in their rooms.
The location was perfect! It was easy to book and provide all the necessary information online so you don't waste time when you arrive. Checking out was also very easy. Good isolation from the outside noise. The reception can answer all your questions.

United States of AmericaWe had a hard time with the temperature of the room, couldn't get it warmer or cooler. Only problem from breakfast was the hot water for tea was not very hot.
The room was what we needed as 3 adults traveling together. Having the balcony was a plus as it allowed us to have an open door and fresh air. The room was very quiet without street or hotel noise. Breakfast was vey good with plenty of variety and time. The staff was helpful with suggestions for food and in getting a taxi when leaving
