Rooms are on the small side and the room wasn’t spotless. Would have loved a kettle in the room, but have noticed this is not available in similar size hotels.

There was some traffic noise from the street outside the hotel at night, but it settled down fairly quickly and I had a good night's sleep.

Of all the hotels I've stayed at during a two week trip in Europe, the friendly, helpful and warm staff here were remarkable, and really stood out. I'd thoroughly recommend staying staying at the Nattergalen. The staff member who checked me in was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about Odense and the local area. The next day, another staff member was extremely helpful in assisting me with hiring a bike from the hotel, and getting everything set up for a local trip of around 60km. The buffet breakfast was excellent. A wonderful range of good quality breads, scrambled eggs, cereals, fruit and tea and coffee. The hotel is an easy 6-8 min walk from the central train station, so very convenient in that regard, and also very convenient for walking into and around central Odense.

the parking has a limited car space , 10 vehicles, I guess, so when arriving late, it is full , you have to turn to park and check if you can park , my room was looking vintage like in the 50s, perhaps refresh the decoration .....

Two (minor) things were missing in my bedroom: a safe and a water boiler for tea making.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was modest but good. Room was spacious, clean, and nice and quiet. It was nice to have a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine near the breakfast room, available 24/7.

The bathroom facilities were a bit dated and unfortunately on my final night the pipes were blocked in my and the neighbouring room and they needed to call a plumber.

I was in Odense for a conference. The hotel was in a great location, close to the train station, a short walk to restaurants and attractions, and bus to the Congress Centre. The hotel was quiet, even my room that was on ground floor close to reception. The breakfast was good, and you could make tea and coffee any time. There were spaces to to relax and do some work if required. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The one thing I didn't love about the hotel was the size of the room. It has everything you need, but still feels a bit tight.

Everyone was very kind. My kid and I felt so welcome for our holiday. Breakfast was really good. Only detail that made it short from perfect was there was next to no fresh fruit. The main purpose of my trip was to visit HC Andersen's house and the railway museum, and both of them were less than 10 minutes walking from the hotel, so location was great.

A couple of untoward issues occurred! They were dealt with, but shouldn't have happened. One was unsigned wet, white paint on the handrail of the stairs which I got all over my hand. I was incredibly lucky not to get it on my coat or bag. Only thing that might apply to someone else is the level of light in the bedroom is too low and one of the lamps didn't work. Traffic noise if you're near the road, which I wasn't until they had to change my room when the lock didn't work when I first arrived! Nevertheless, I will stay here again and would recommend it. Staff very friendly.

Great breakfast, comfy bed, lovely stylish very Danish lounge, tea and coffee always available, very friendly staff. Hotel is in a nice location. In the summer, the roof terrace is excellent. I will stay again and have been here twice before. Feels safe and quiet.

The parking situation around the hotel is pretty poor. Paid parking on the streets is quite expensive for a town of this size. Private parking at the hotel is available, but there are only a limited amount of places.
