Very central hotel with unique design features and extraordinarily friendly employees

The hotel is made of several buildings connected together via hallways. Although charming, it lacks functionality as it is rather complicated to find your room. On the way, there are several steps up and down which is not convenient with luggage. The room was extremely small although I was alone in a double room. The shower was even smaller and almost impossible to enter and to get out of it and taking a shower was difficult in such a tiny space. Breakfast was just not good at all: the fresh fruits were not that fresh, no yoghurts, tasteless orange juice and no other bread than very dry Brötchen.

This hotel has a lot of character and is ladden with history. Location is superb, right in the centre of Passau. Eva at the Receprion is particularly friendly and helpful.

Traditional furniture has a special charm but is not properly maintained and affects the feeling of cleanliness in the room. The same can be said about the floor and tiles in the bathroom which is full of stains. Under the radiator in the single room where I was accommodated hanged a large spider's web.

The location was excelent for exploring the old town, near the Danube and the castle. There are many restaurants around. However, if you prefer to be closer to the hustle and bustle of the city than to the sights you might enjoy better a location closer to the shopping street. The staff was kind. There is elevator to the superior floors. The breakfast was excelent.

A bit more variety at breakfast would have been nice, and maybe a mini-fridge in the room.

The hotel is located at the very heart of Passau, next to the municipality building - a prime location. It also acts as a glass museum. The building is old, but well maintained, and there is an elevator, so you get the historic flair without having to drag your stuff by stairs. The breakfast is served on the top floor, with a great view, although the actual breakfast was average. The rooms are sufficiently spacious and the shower modern, but some amenities - such as a mini fridge or a kettle - are missing, and of course there is no A/C.

We've been here two years ago. Somehow this time it felt less clean. There was mold in the shower. Looked like there were less care...

Very incompetent staff. Very basic English. When I was informed on the early morning, that I cannot pay by card and only cash is possible, because the terminal won’t work on the early morning, I found it funny, later I realized the man was serious. What a surprise that after 10 seconds of silence, he turned on the payment terminal. I was traveling during floods, I would appreciate the hotel informs me upfront, that it is not possible to get clise to the hotel.

Most unique and amazing property. We had a huge room with 3 single beds and a huge dining table in the middle The furniture was used by German royalty from years ago 😃 We loved it

Beautiful old mansion with a character and stunning history. Breathtakingly beutiful breakfast room/salon. Great choice as well. Very friendly and helpful staff, let me check-in early. One part of the building is a stunning Glasmuseum, which is really extraordinary. The location is perfect to explore pretty Passau, and to board the boat on the Danube as well.The City bus to take you to the railway station is opposite the hotel. Loved staying there, would like to come back.
