Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenExcellent location and a good breakfast, even if I had to pay extra for it. I was very late in arriving, due to Deursche Bahn, but got information by sms on how to find my room. And this worked! Friendly staff and at least the “morning guy” spoke good English. The restaurant downstairs ga very friendly staff.

United KingdomBetter sound proofing needed. Can hear conversations from adjacent rooms. Checkout is 12 on a Sunday but a lil after 11 door was knocked. If checkout time is 12, not sure why door knocked earlier esp when can check at reception to see if room vacated which would inform if empty or not.
Centrally located. Less than 5 mins to main train station and similar distance from tram stop from airport. Loads of shops in the close vicinity. Hotel was tastefully decorated for Christmas. As I know this is important to some; room has kettle, cups and tea/ coffee

Czech RepublicThe room was pretty small, but this can be expected in the center of a city.
Located behind the main station of Bremen, this typical Tirolean Hotel is really a nice place to stay. My room was small, but cosy, clean and well equipped. The staff is really friendly and professional. An ideal hotel when you visit the center of Bremen, especially the Freimarkt. Very recommended!

LatviaA traditional air conditioner would make a stay in summer more comfortable, although the cooling system still works well enough.
My room on the 5th floor was fabulous: spacious, cosy, and with a fantastic view. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The interior on the whole is truly fascinating and makes you stare at the walls and corners, expecting to discover various interesting details. Besides, the location is great: trams/buses/trains are right in front of you; a wonderful park, shops, restaurants, and the Old Town - within a 10 minute walk.

United KingdomIt was boiling hot in the rooms due to lack of AC. I know it’s better for the environment, but I woke up several times throughout the night.
I liked the bedroom layout and the just the overall aesthetic of the hotel.

United States of AmericaUnderstanding that AC is not a “thing” in Germany, the room was still very warm. we slept with the window completely open all night, but the side of the room near the shower was very warm. We checked that none of the heaters were on, but wife and I both woke up with sweat on us. It wasn’t horrible, just wish the room could have been cooler. Maybe offer a fan for guests to plug in?
We arrived after hours and the process to get us in our room was quick and easy. once we got in the room we were shocked how nice the quaint room was.Bery clean, very welcoming, and quiet.

United States of AmericaThe room was very small and got very warm at night (a fan was available though). Considering it is described as a 4-star hotel I would have expected a little more luxury e.g. nicer toiletries.
Location directly across from the train station was perfect for me. The staff members with whom I interacted were all friendly and helpful. I asked for and received a room on the quieter side of the hotel.

FranceOur biggest gripe was the location right next to the railway station. It seems like Booking uses the term "City centre" quite loosely. We also found out that another hotel that we had considered, also labeled as being in the "City centre" was located right next to the Markplatz, and a lot closer to the waterfront. So it is mostly our fault for not having checked the location well enough as we did the booking at the last minute. The bathroom was not quite up to our expectations either.
The room was nice enough, and clean. We particularly appreciated some of the decorative elements like the water bottle inside a little "birdhouse" with glasses in the door, the teddybear on the bed. There were decorative elements elsewhere in the hotel, particularly in the lobby (a statue sitting on a chair) and in the breakfast area. The room had a safe, which gives peace of mind. There is a computer in the lobby, and a printer, with free access. The printer did not work, but the staff printed my document for me.
