Outdated and needs a refurb. Bathroom was very cramped and shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold.

Bed linen had a visible stain. Even though the information booklet in the room said slippers were available at the reception, I was initially told by one member of staff that the hotel didn't provide them. Another member of staff (more senior?) stepped in at that point and I did get hold of slippers eventually.

The room was warm and clean. Hot running water was available. Great location.

Location is excellent, building is historic and beautiful , staff excellent. Car parking available.

There is parking, but if there is a function at the hotel you may not get a space till late. The city was flattened in WW2, but you would not know it now. Hope for Ukraine...

Cool staff. Big room. Grand staircase with armoured knight. Excellent breakfast in ballroom. In-house restaurant with outside seating directly opposite medieval Kaiser residence and cathedral. Lively city with superb art gallery, shady park and nice patisserie shops. Ancient merchant hall (museum) with famous "Braunschweiger Elle" (standardised yard measure). Gothic churches. Cathedral has giant menorah and grave of Henry the Lion - free during Sunday service which was also great! Let your kids turn the crank for water vortex sculpture in pedestrianised street while you eat ultra fast Vietnamese food.

Very central location in short walking distance from the old town and shopping area. Easy to get to by tram or bus from the main station (only a 5 min walk from the tram/bus stop). Very friendly staff. Reasonably sized room.

The person at the reception was acting weird. she was unfriendly and forced me to pay in advance at check in, while all over the world you can choose when to pay. my credit card was registered as usual. she gave me the feeling of not being welcome.

Breakfast was diverse and tasty. Location great. Staff friendly. The room was quite small and the furniture outdated. Bathroom large and clean. A good hotel for a short business trip but i would not chose it for a holiday.

our room was smaller than the one we booked previously. the shower room smelled a bit mouldy. It would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in every room like you get in B&B’s.

It wasn't a real Double bed. The door to the bathroom was hard to close. Sometimes smoke of cigarets came to the room via corridor. Buffet wasn't always fullfiled.

a little bit more service would be nice, not speaking of present staff, all very nice and helpful, but announcement there would be no reception after 9 pm and as of January after 3 pm, wine in mini bar overpriced and of low quality
