What is there not to like?

Very nice hotel, perfect location to explore the whole town very close to the forth - all on foot! Breakfast was delicious and our dog was welcome everywhere!

The breakfast was amazing, worlds above what I would usually expect in this price class - highly recommend! Location allows for easy access to the center of the city. Staff is extremely friendly, I can recommend this hotel without any reservations.

the room is a little small, and there is a strange smell in toilet. the shower head cannot fixed its height.

the room is clean and comfort. you can still see the sight when you open the window and peak outside. the hotel try to fit our need.

The outside dining area is quite nice the breakfast is well run and nicely done. rooms can have a pretty amazing view the second floor salon/balcony is very nice. Hotel has a lot of charm.

The corridors were less inviting with outmoded decor and carpets which smelt musty and cigarette fumed. The carpet in our room was similar and the only thing about the room I didn't like!

The hotel was ideally located for both the city and my daughter's student flat. The breakfast was wonderful-so much variety and very tasty and plenty of healthy options, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with a beautiful view of the Festung. and the river. The restaurant exceeded my expectations and was obviously very popular with locals,too.

The room ac only worked our last day. Also, our rooms had lots of gnats and bugs that came in at night ( we had to leave the windows open)

Rooms are smallish, Very German. Very nice no coffee maker. A/C and I got an amazing view of the Festung(Castle) right on the river. one window shade didn't work. Very clean and nice.

Mike behind reception made us feel very welcome! A warm greeting to start with, translating the menu was appreciated and lots of helpful guidance throughout our stay. We had parking booked which was secure and well taken care of. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Try out the hotels restaurant; well worth a visit!

Quite a small cluttered room for a double. A bad smell of sewerage from our bathroom - maybe a dry drain? Also a very small bathroom.

The only problem was the drainage of the bathtub. The water went down slowly and when another guest in another room was having a bath, our bathtub started filling up with water!

The room was small but clean with comfortable beds. The hotel is at a very good location, right opposite the castle and a 3-minute-walk to the old bridge.

During winter time the heater is located right under the window and obstructed by 2 layers of curtains, leaving the room quite cold upon arrival. There was a noticable musty smell in the bathroom coming from the shower drain. It disappeared after I let the water run for a minute and did not come back. Probably just stale water sitting in the drain because I was visiting during very low frequency off season. Please check for that when the room has been prepared several days/weeks before arrival of a guest. I would have preferred separate bodywash, shampoo and conditioner over the provided 2-in-1 shower gel. In the end none of those things had a major negative impact on my stay or comfort.

Great location right at the river and within a 5 minute walk from the downtown area. Breakfast is excellent. The room was clean as expected and the bed was very comfortable. When arriving by car, the friendly staff guides you to a dedicated parking garage.

I always prefer to serve myself coffee/tea in the morning. This was served to you and since the woman serving breakfast was extremely busy, you would have to wait for the drinks.
