To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

MexicoStain on matress. They have the hair dryer in a place you are being watched for everybody, because they are where the stairs are but anyway, they can lend you one with a 10 euro deposit.
The guy of the morning was very kind and nice and very helpful. Also the argentinian girl. The others were just like ok. Beds are ok, matresses seems to be with some stain. The breakfast was nice for the price. The bar, couches and tables were nice. Located just in front of the tram and u bahn

GermanyThe hostel is not to blame for this but the toilet seats weren’t always the cleanest (as a male I could deal with it) but well… how do you keep track of that on several floors with some youngsters missing the target🙄
I wasn‘t sure what to expect but the place was absolutely fine. The biggest surprise were the beds - I actually slept very well despite sharing the dorms room with strangers.

TaiwanThe bed and the pillow were too soft, probably due to their high-frequent usage. It caused my random roommates to flip around and caused noises. If I were to stay there again, I might want to choose a single room.
The staff was super helpful and friendly. I've bothered them in the morning, near midnight, and they were always so helpful. I stayed in a 4-bed shared room, so the quality really depends on my room mates. Location was super great. Room was clean and the cleaning lady was also very friendly. WiFi was fast. Shower was warm and very clean. Guest kitchen was also very neat.

United KingdomThe shared bathrooms/especially the shower needs a big upgrade. It was pretty worn down, the water was not running down and was accumulating in the corner of the shower room, no ventilation in the room, showerhead missing, just a pipe from the wall.
Good location, close to tram and UBahn. The room was spacious and clean and bed comfortable. The area is quiet, so no noice disturbances at night.

HungaryPillows were really bad. On the days when only few people had breakfast, the selection was not the same when there were many guests. The coffee with the breakfast was like water, you need to buy normal one after at the bar.
We had a room with private bath, it was good for a short stay. The room was clean. Not big, but enough. Neighbourhood of the hotel is calm with good public transport connection. During the night it was really quiet, you can sleep well. Guests were mostly students and families. Staff was friendly. The bar is open 24hrs. You can leave your luggage before the check in.
