Several hiking routes were easily accessible by foot, with many others easily reached by bike or public transport. The breakfast was simple and well presented. Many grocery shops and nice restaurants close by.

Sorry to say that, but the place gives me the impression of having management problems. I give a few examples: i) Rather than fixing the buttons in the elevator; they patch them; the patches start to be worn out too; see the photo -- it made me smile. ii) Their underground parking requires an intricate navigation around the block with no signs at avail; one needs to memoize their explanation. iii) When returning from dinner and asking at the reception for some drink to take to the room, they can't do it because -- I quote -- they "don't know how to do it". iv) The shower (the nozzle) is clearly broken (it sprays a lot to the side) and this can't just have happened yesterday; so they just ignore it; v) Not a cheap hotel, but there is no second pillow, neither in the bed nor in the wardrobe. vi) The breakfast arrangement (how they place things) is "challenging" -- they even have a guy running around and helping the lost clients and apologizing for the setup, but -- I quote -- "it cannot be done better in this place".

The room was OK. The breakfast was OK too -- perhaps some fish / extra vegetable options would be great. The location is optimal, if you need to be in the center of Buchholz.

Only that I missed having tea and coffee in the room with a small kettle. I drink a lot of tea!

Excellent buffet breakfast with a member of staff available. Friendly helpful staff who were able to lend me a EU/UK adaptor for my phone charger. Central location. Good ventilation important. Window to openin room. Liked eco approach to room cleaning. Shower excellent. Comfy bed.

1- small located in a corner with no views with no facilities 2- no proper parking really only few spaces allocated if full then the customer left to find a public car park , be fluent in German and must have coins as well 3- the breakfast is so basic and not worth 15 euros 4- nothing for children to do 5- if you want anything towel etc you have to get it yourself from reception 6- for 150 euro a night it’s waste on money
