Everything!! Very clean spacious room with modern bathroom and an amazing view on the garden, nice heated pool - the kids had a lot of fun, immersed in the forest with animals all around, doesn’t feel crowded at all, close to Sant’Elena and the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The hotel has also a decent restaurant. Overall the staff is absolutely fantastic and has helped us organising our tours. Highly recommended

United States of AmericaThe main negative was, for how hot it gets there, I was surprised there wasn't AC or even a ceiling fan installed. We got a table fan when we asked for one, though that didn't help as much as we would have liked. The person at reception who helped us book the tour to El Tigre Waterfall didn't tell us that the ride back only comes at specific times - if we'd known, we would have driven there ourselves. Nonetheless an excellent experience.
Junior suite was beautiful with a lovely forest view, very private especially in the room at the end of the row. Beautiful pool with a pool bar. Nice to have a walking trail on the property, though we also went on tours. Good restaurant. Driving distance into town, it looked like some people were walking the 4 km, but our kids were too young to manage that.

United KingdomThe restaurant and pool area desperately in need some attention. The pool was very uninviting due to the renovation around the area& jacuzzi is out of action which no one mentioned on checkin. The restaurant felt like a social club from the 70s or the back of a cold church hall. Could be super cosy and has great views, a real missing opportunity. The breakfast and decor therefore weren’t amazing - needs a rework. Would recommend Stella’s down the road for breakfast. There is so much to do in Monteverde we didn’t do much in the hotel except sleep so it was perfect for that. Side note, in room 37 there is one missing curtain in the curved window above the sofas, would be great to cover this up properly for an even better nights sleep.
The bed was maybe the best hotel bed I have ever slept in and the room was beautiful, although missing a few extra touches. Super spacious and close to the town. There is lots of great wildlife within the hotel grounds.

CanadaThe room was very large and comfortable with a fabulous view over the grounds, It had windows on 3 sides. The landscaping of the site was outstanding and there was an excellent swimming pool. The restaurant was just OK and we always missed breakfast because it was too early. I was quite sick for a day and the staff were very caring and helpful. generally they were all very professional and also friendly.

The property is in a beautiful secluded location with an awesome trail. Rooms were spacious and clean. Restaurant staff and food were great.

United States of AmericaWe already left these comments with the management staff that they need to use a different kind of wax on the floors as our floors in our room were so slippery. Also one of the beds in our room lost all its support and needed to be replaced. Wish they told us the pool and hot tubs were down for maintenance which is why we booked this property- the only thing they did was allow us to use the jacuzzi in the spa but unfortunately they didn’t clean it when I went to use it and the water wasn’t hot. I definitely feel we should have gotten better compensation for the maintenance issues during our stay along with construction noise and blocked path to the spa.
The property has very nice accommodations and is designed well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Large room.

Wonderfull proprety near Santa Helena (5-10min car ride) with breathtaking view. Hotel is clean, well taken care off. Room was spacious, confortable, well equipped (Fridge, TV) & delicious beauty products. Staff is very kind & helpfull, breakfast was good. Nice Swimling pool area. Clear recommendation!

The property was in a perfect location and the new owners are working hard to replant the gardens, provide pathways around the property and modernize the old and tattered rooms. I'm guessing it is on its way to be a very first rate hotel.

United States of AmericaThe windows need screens to cool off the room. days can heat up the room. ceiling fans would be very nice. This is not a boutique hotel. the bedding is very nice but the pillows are not soft. The pool should be heated as Monteverde gets cold. Rooms are covered with wood and should be oiled……it will make them glow and last longer. get better orange juice.
The location is great, the gardens are beautiful and attract beautiful birds.
