Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

The property was lovely and immaculate, it had everything you need for a comfortable stay with some thoughtful extra touches. The kitchen was small but well equipped (with a large gas cooker) which allowed us to prepare meals without any hassle, and there were a couple of well stocked supermarkets nearby within the village. Hot water was readily available in the shower which was bliss! There was a veranda with comfortable table and chairs which was a lovely spot to relax outdoors. There was a mosquito net over the bed, although we didn’t have any problem with mosquitoes while we were there. Howler monkeys lived in the trees nearby and we loved hearing them and watching them, and we were even lucky enough to spot a sloth in the trees which was amazing! Hone Creek is a strategic location between Cahuita and Puerto Viejo, it’s on the main road so easy to pick up buses going in either direction which were cheap and regular (the property was an easy walk to the bus stop, less than 10 minutes). The host was very welcoming and kind (and speaks excellent English), she made our stay very special.

We enjoyed our stay in this place. Gabriella was an amazing host. You do not need a car, you can go everywhere by foot or bus/cheap taxi. The place was very clean and everything you need is there.

We found that Hone Creek was a perfect place to stay in order to easily visit Cahuita and Puerto Viejo. From the exceptionally clean accommodations to Gabriela's friendliness and helpfulness, we couldn't have wished for anything better.

GermanyThe fan is a bit noisy but I experienced worse ones.
The cabin was very clean and had a beautiful terrace where you could sit outside surrounded by heliconias and cocoa trees and observe animals. The kitchen was fully equipped to be able to cook reasonably. There is a Pali, a Super Negro and a Hone Creek supermarket in walking distance. Beer is the cheapest at Pali. Gabi is a nice and friendly host and tries to help you wherever she can. She let me stay beyond the checkout time while I was waiting for an approval of necessary papers to cross the border to Panama.

Everything! Gabriella was such a wonderful, caring and helpful host. We could not have hoped for anything more from her. She really did Everything she could to make our stay perfect! We can't recommend high enough. We had a lovely relaxing week. Either sitting in the garden surrounded by nature, daily visits from the humming birds among many others. Or going to Puerta Viejo or Cahuita. The bungalow as Everything you could need including a fully equipped kitchen. We hope we get chance to return here and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

South AfricaA cosy and clean casa with everything we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. Gabi is the most amazing host and made sure our needs were met. There is no a/c but it wasn't needed as the cabinet has a fan which keeps it cool enough. Also the location is in a cooler area of town.

It has everything - including fresh drinking water, a coffee machine with coffee, all kitchen essentials, swimming towels, bath towels etc. Strong Wifi and a super comfy bed! There is also a fabulous Supermarket within walking distance of the house. The location is a bit out of town, but you can easily take a bus or taxi to anywhere you like.

The host, Gabriela, is very nice and is always willing to help.
