It's a beautiful resort! We were greeted with 2 drinks and a shot! We were able to upgrade to platinum for a small amount. Outside of the platinum room, I don't think we utilized any of the perks. I wish restaurants were a little bit more flexible with letting people in without restaurants. However, we were able to get into Misa and experience the Hibachi, and it was awesome, Umberto and Carlos were great!! I think the facility is great, and I think they have the space to do so much more with it. For example, we are millennials, so we do like to party and have fun. It was very minimal activities for us. The 5th sports bar was great, though! Having limitless drinks were great too, but they were watered down! Leaving the hotel is so expensive so we didn't leave much. We went to xplor park on Saturday and we spent 105 us dollars for transportation to and from. Xplor was expensive but I think it was worth it! Overall we had a good experience!!

Not much entertainment! Strictness with having to make dinner reservations..Expensive transportation to leave hotel..although limitless alcohol drinks were watered down.

Gorgeous 1970s era well maintained villa-like hotel with rooftop views of the ocean. Amazing staff at front desk, cleaning staff, and breakfast staff they were all so helpful and kind. The location was great, in walking distance to the smaller popular beaches (20 mins) and to the surfer beach (10 mins).

Could hear the people in the room next door, and due to courtyard facing rooms had to keep the curtains drawn at all times.

I loved everything about Rivera Del Rio! Beautiful views, excellent staff (special shoutout to Jesus and Carolina), the room and hotel were just breathtaking. We felt very safe and welcomed by the surrounding locals! Walking distance to so many things - including the beach.

The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful, the location is convenient to the airport, I love the 24-hour airport shuttle, and it’s a good value.

I am told I can’t order from the kitchen until happy hour is over, but, on this last trip, the food was almost gone. When they brought out more at my request, it was so greasy that I got sick that night. Also, there were only knives, no forks or spoons, and there was no dressing for the salad. Previous meals during previous stays were much better. This one was disappointing, and I had to travel with a very upset stomach.

Restaurant was quite expensive, around the same prices you would pay in Canada after converting, but that’s basically all of Puerto Vallarta. We stayed a few night here to relax before indulging our backpacking trip.

The parking, it is a very tight space if you have a rental they are blocking you (other vehicles) or there are other vehicles parked on the street to leave the hotel. You have to wait until they move certain vehicles to be able to get out of the very small parking space. Also the loud music from the restaurant. In which we can clearly hear from our room. Also. We continued to get question daily regarding who we were and asked to re-charge for parking when we initially paid for the entire week. Lastly, there should be a hotel sign as it took us awhile to locate it. One of our rooms was also on ground level and it is a steep step down there should be stairs as you may twist an ankle.
