Located above Express Bus terminal station, it's incredibly convenient for dining and shopping, and it's also in a great area for a stroll along the Han River, making the location perfect. Breakfast options are varied downstairs at the department store and the terminal, so we didn't choose 80,000 won breakfast at the hotel. The service at the lobby, concierge, and bell desk within the hotel was good. I brought my elderly mother, and they accommodated our request for a late checkout as much as possible. Pool is great with sauna access, but we didn't use the spa since it costs 40,000 won. Oh, but their bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was spacious.

Regarding the room, the laminate flooring felt a bit cheap, and the carpet patterns seemed somewhat outdated, but the spacious bathroom was pleasant. Even if you pay extra for a river view room, the view is blocked by many high-rise buildings in front of the river, and it made us sad a bit. The service was great overall, BUT when entering and exiting with a wheelchair or needing a taxi, the staff at the hotel entrance did not move until asked, which was surprising and different from the usual service we are accustomed to. Normally, they should come up and ask what is needed, but this might be a cultural difference.

Jungdam is located in the heart of the Hanok Village. There is a pavilion and waterfall right in front of Jungdam. There is also a picnic table with awning, so you can sit in the shade. The breakfast was excellent with a plentiful selection of fruit.

This is a beautiful hanok house in a very charming area of Jeonju. The owner is so kind and helpful and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. She helped us resolve several small problems and is a fantastic host.

A beautiful hanok house in a lovely area of Jeonju. The owner is a poet who met us and read some of his own poetry to us upon our request. It was a charming welcome.

The booking was a bit confusing, in that we thought we had booked the whole house, with all available space able to handle 9 people. But upon arriving, we were told that we could only have 6 people there, as that's what the booking was for. The situation was all resolved in the end, but it was very confusing. I'm not sure if the booking system just isn't clear about booking the entire house vs. booking just for a limited number of travelers (or perhaps the mistake was ours in not noticing disclaimers upon booking), but in any case this aspect of the booking was very confusing for us and caused substantial stress until resolved after we arrived.

The location is fantastic. Close the energetic area of Hongdae, surrounded by restaurants and interesting street life.

The property is a little run down. More importantly, the rooms are very tiny for more than one person. Two person twin rooms are sometimes two twin beds pushed together, making it more of a double bed than a real twin room, with space between beds. Rooms don't have much in terms of any hanger space or little tables or any space to store things. They are a bit smaller rooms than some other hostel spaces I have stayed at around this area. Decent value for the price, and a great location--but the twin room situation isn't quite as advertised. More of a double bed in very small space.

Very minimal issues like having to request for toilet papers, new towels, and not having our own microwave in the room, but there is a shared one in the lounge on the 6th floor. :)
