This place was a bit off the beaten path which we love. We were a little worried as we were driving down the road, because there were some less than desirable guest houses to stay at. When we pulled in, we were very happy. This place seemed brand new! Pretty sure it was family run. The staff was super friendly! My husband and I only wished we would have had dinner here, because it smelled amazing. We did have a drink at the bar before settling in for the night. All and all it was the perfect little place to stay!

Wow!!! What a location! A little out of the way, but who cares when you find a special like this! The staff was so friendly! I think it may be family owned. Dinner was amazing, and breakfast was wonderful! The place was HUGE! But one of the most special parts was that there was this little hot spring that sat just above the hotel parking lot! We had it to ourselves, and it was an amazing experience! Do not hesitate to drive a bit out of the way to come here. You will not regret it!

Holy smokes!!! The view alone makes this a million dollar stay! We stayed in the downstairs apartment and it was wonderful! We were even able to do a load of laundry! Why stay in the city of Akureyri, when you can drive a few minutes up the road and stay here! Plus, it is right near the beer spa, which is a must do! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home! It was perfect.

Wow, wow, WOW!!! Do NOT hesitate to stay at this truly wonderful location! Very close to the town of Hella and in a beautiful setting! The owners were EXTREMELY amazing! And we had a surprise of endless waffles for breakfast (free). The hotel was near new. Extremely clean, comfortable rooms! What a hidden gem! Loa is the best!

This was such a cool and unique hotel! They were almost like individual tiny houses! So comfortable, and in a beautiful setting! We were surrounded by beautiful lupines, glaciers and sheep! Such a cool place! Do not hesitate to book this hotel! 10/10 stars!

Very clean and easy to find hotel! It was perfect for our first night after arriving in Iceland in the evening. The staff was extremely friendly, and breakfast was lovely. Rooms were comfortable and just the right size for what we needed.

Beautiful secluded location while being convenient for exploring golden ring sights, and only about a 12 min drive to Fludir. Lovely soaking tub on the deck. Comfortable living room and nice kitchen.

This is probably not normally an issue in Iceland, but it was pretty warm during our trip and the bedrooms got quite hot. The windows barely open, so we couldn’t really cool them down. We could cool down the rest of the living space by opening the door for a little while to air it out.

Fun atmosphere and restaurant. And the room was a perfect size for our family of 4 with space for the kids up in a little loft.

We only spent one night, but it isn’t walkable to touristic things. Which was expected and fine with us on our last night in Iceland before going to the airport next day. But just something to note.
