Fantastic location right on the beach. Gorgeous long beach, great for surfing and playing in the waves. If you walk to the left you'll need shoes as the beach gets very pebbley or wait until the tide is out to walk on the softer sand. The option for beach towels with a $10 deposit was great. We opted for a room with AC as we went in June and it was much needed. You can get breakfast next door for $8 USD if you pay cash, trust us it's a good deal, Costa Rica is expensive for Canadian travelers. The staff were lovely and very helpful, especially Carolina who grabbed the crab from our room and placed him back outside.

The door to our room didn't close properly so always had to lock it to keep it shut. There was a bit of a gap under the door and after a really hard rain storm we had a few unexpected visitors. We would stay here again, maybe on the second floor next time.

We loved the location of this hotel, right on the edge of downtown, walkable to many bars/restaurants, grocery stores, markets etc. The grounds of the hotel are stunning, all rooms look out onto a lush garden, there are 2 small plunge pools perfect for cooling off and a great view of the volcano. Staff were very welcoming, as soon as we arrived we were shown 2 sloths, amazing! The breakfast was delicious, the room was a standard size hotel room with a comfortable king size bed and great AC.

My stay was a treehouse! The nature sounds of the birds and the frogs lulled me right to sleep, along with the rain. The bed was the most comfortable I've stayed in outside my home. I did the night tour with my host and his son, and even though we got caught in a rainstorm we still got to see some really cool critters! The location is super close to town (I rented a car) but far enough away to still feel like you're in the jungle.

The hotel is in a great location across the street from the beach, right in the centre of town and the price is very reasonable. The rooms are shabby but the king size bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well. The pool was big and there's a small outdoor kitchen if you want to cook something although utensils are limited.

We didn't have any hot water, we mentioned it to the guy who checked us in and he said 'yes you do' he didn't offer to check it he just kept saying that we HAD hot water. I would stay here again soley based on location and price but my husband wouldn't, the cold showers were a step too far!

We like and enjoy staying in this hotel. Staff are very nice and professional, it is very close to the airport and car rental office. Rooms are very comfortable and clean; great breakfast too and it is ready when you request it. This is our 4th visit and will continue to stay here when I fly in CR.

Beautiful, clean house tucked back on a quiet street off the main road. The common areas were perfect to relax and the loft area was great for sleeping. I also loved the private trail to the beach!

A couple on the same floor was violently fighting during my whole stay of 2 nights.My reason for a low review. Everything went out of hand and the police came,on the 2nd night, the, staff tried to calm them in vain. After the police left they continued aggressively for hours. Screams and cries so that even people in the restaurant & bar on the same street heart it too. Crazy and dangerous situation. That's not the mistake of the hotel, as the staff are really nice and the hotel is normally pleasant. But The management should have taken strong Action for the sake of other guests tranquility. There also disco close by, and people in that area are party goers. The gate was left open & it didn't feel quite safe.
