We reached the hotel in the middle of severe rain. Sarapiqui is not easy to reach. We had our rented car. The hotel helped us to book a night tour with Sarapiqui Xperience and the next day with the Sarapiqui river boat tour. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. Most interestingly, we saw a sloth, multiple howler monkeys, and different types of frogs, birds, and butterflies in the rainforest garden of the hotel. The long and elevated hallway of the hotel goes through a deep rainforest which is home to different animals. There were many shops and supermarkets around. The bus station was a 1-minute walk and opposite that there was a very nice Panaderia (bread/pastry shop). I strongly recommend this hotel.

This place is amazing! It exceeded all our expectations. The views are incredible. The included breakfast was delicious. We also didn't realize how close it is to the National Park- a couple minutes walking and you're there! The beach is maybe a ten minute walk away. We saw a whole bunch of monkeys walking back from the beach one day. And one monkey entertained us while we were in the pool! It climbed all over the building and made a few other appearances during our stay. We saw lots of wildlife here! Our room was spacious and comfortable- we actually had the whole top floor to ourselves (the perks of travelling in off-season, I guess). We would definitely stay here again.

The place was very clean- probably one of the cleanest stays we've had in Costa Rica. We just stopped in for 1 night on our way down the coast. It was perfect for a quick stop-over. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very nice! The beach is close by but it is a National Park so you can't just walk in. Check in was very smooth but no one was there when we were trying to check out.

The hotel was around a lot of trees where many birds live. The mornings are so nice with many birds chirping. The hotel gave us a hotel at the corner of the second floor and we had a nice secluded place. The breakfast was nice. The lady who prepares the breakfast from 5 AM is also nice. She prepares for everyone freshly cut fruits and other items. Arenal volcano is visible from the balcony.

The hotel seems overpriced. Even considering La Fortuna is expensive, this hotel is pricey. The hotel is pretty far from the city center. It is 1.4 km from the hotel to the central park and the Mega supermarket. There was a bridge being built and the hotel was accessible through the neighboring hotel. However, there was a gate through which the Campos Arenal was accessible. However, the gate was opened at 8 AM every day. If you need to leave before 8 AM you need go through a much longer way to access the city center.

We loved how the property and the nature around the property were integrated. The views were wonderful, the temperature was wonderful on this side of the mountain. and the location couldn't be any better to attractions and food.

At first we thought that not have A/C would be a deal breaker, but they had a nice fan in the room, and we ended up sleeping with the windows open, because the weather was so nice! I would definitely not put this on the owners, but the Country really needs to find a way to make the roads better. As a tourist, I understand the local aspect of things, but if the country really wants to push for eco-tourism, they have to find a better way to get around the countryside.

I think maybe, maybe the only thing was the door to the bathroom was loud and squeaky...nor was the bathroom air conditioned....but really didn't prevent us from enjoying the location.

(1) Everytime we entered from outside, we saw cockroaches. My kids were so scared that they did not want to set foot on the ground. To cap it all, a flying cockroach landed on me in the middle of the night. (2) Finding the light switch was so difficult. It was hidden behind a plant and we spent 10 minutes in the evening to finally find the light switch.
