Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe in-room air conditioning could be better.
My family of 4 stayed at the hotel for one night while transiting through Zurich. Though the hotel looks unassuming from the outside but was exceptional from the inside. Being a boutique hotel, there are interesting photos, paintings and art work liberally spread throughout the hotel, including the rooms. They have an excellent lounge and family area where you can unwind and watch TV or have a coffee. The rooms were comfortable and the staff helpful. We took the breakfast package, which was sufficient and well prepared. The hotel is also conveniently located close to the Zurich HB station, and can be reached by foot or tram. There are lots of restaurants and shopping options nearby, which makes exploring Zurich all the more enjoyable. Overall, a very good stay and I would recommend this hotel for families.

From the moment we entered, we were greeted by Tico, who was friendly and very helpful. Our room was not ready as we were very early, but he took some time to give us information on what we could see and do in Zurich. We were told we could wait in the lobby, which was on the 1st floor, and could have some coffee/tea while we waited. We were quite surprised at the entertainment available while you wait. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit Zurich. It is within close proximity to restaurants, bars, shopping precincts, and train stations(10 to 15-min walk from the train station in the old town. Our room overlooked the square, and we enjoyed standing at the window, watching people walk past. Music started around 8 pm from a restaurant outside, and we thought it would go all night and were scared we were not going to get sleep, but to our surprise, everything was quiet before 10 pm.

AustraliaThe hotel was pretty run-down. There was a large step into the shower and was dark. There was no lighting above the shower. The air-conditioner didn't seem to work. The light switches were quite bizzare, switches that didn't do anything, or click a few times to turn lights on or off. There wasn't any coffee and tea facilities, however we were provided with a kettle when we asked for one. There was a bar in the hotel that was highlighted in the lift but wasn't sign-posted once on the floor. It was behind a rather large door.
The hotel was comfortable. The location was great. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, although very expensive. The staff were lovely, especially at breakfast.

United States of AmericaWe were truly disturbed by the church bells that rang all night. It kept us awake and really impacted our experience.
the property was beautiful, very clean and so wonderfully situated in the old city. It was close to great restaurants and the river, away from traffic. The decoration was beautiful.

GermanyOnly small things like extra amenities not being provided from the get go. You have to order them for free through the web site, which is ok, but other 4 star hotels normally have them prepared in the room before check-in. A way too small selection of tea in the room. Just black and green tea. Some other flavours like herb and fruits tea would have been nice. But of you ask at reception, they will provide you with some other tea sorts. Also no coffee cream provided in the room. And last but not least, there were no hangersor hooks in the bathroom, which made hanging towels difficult. All in all a great hotel. As I said it's just some details that didn't feel up to the level of a 4 star hotel compared to other similar hotels around the world.

United States of AmericaThe hotel didn’t have air conditioning as advertised. We were there in May and staff kindly explained that in summer they have controlled air conditioning. They offer a fan. Customers can feel deceived as we selected the property because we understood we could have air conditioning or heat according to our needs. Pillows are terrible. Besides this, it is actually a great hotel.

GreeceThe only thing we didn’t like was the bathroom design. There was no space to hang or store the towels apart from directly above the toilet. That was unsanitary. I heard that there are also some renovated rooms. Maybe that issue is solved with the renovation.
The location was AMAZING!! The hotel staff was excellent! Very kind and always willing to help. Even for restaurant reservations! The room and the hotel in general was very clean! Breakfast was very tasty and rich! The breakfast room was also spacious and comfortable. The lobby exceeded our expectations! It was so cozy! And the family room where you could play video games and enjoy complimentary coffee was a great touch!

United States of AmericaAs with most hotels in Europe, it is difficult to get the temperature cool enough in the room without opening the windows (which leads to noise due to its location in a busy area of town).
The hotel was a short walk (7-8 minutes along the river) (or tram ride) to the main train station. The staff were helpful, breakfast was very good and we especially liked the lounge/library open to all guests on the first floor.

United KingdomThe electric switches in the room seemed to have a mind of their own and it was a mystery how they worked - and even the reception staff admitted that they were peculiar. I would manage to switch on one bedside light and Hilary would switch hers on, which immediately turned mine off. Attempting turn mine on, both went off. Another attempt the whole room lit up ... very odd! While the bedroom was excellent having clearly recently been updated, with a very comfortable bed, the bathroom had not been updated. The shower was adequate rather than good, and it was all very clean. The sink unit has seen better days too. But overall, we enjoyed our visit and would stay again should the opportunity arise. This is completely outside the control of the hotel of course, but there were utility works going on outside the hotel, I was impressed by the way that the workers were re-laying the cobbled pavement!
The hotel is well placed in the old town of Zurich with its maze of narrow cobbled streets and eclectic range of shops, bars and restaurants. It's about a ten-minute walk from the maion station. The hotel is very pleasant with decent sized rooms that are well equipped and modern - the coffee maker and coffe pods (including decafienated coffee) was very welcome. The bathroom, although a bit old-fashioned and perhaps in need of modernising, was perfectly adequate. The restaurant is for breakfast only, which was sumptuous with very cheerful staff looking after guests. There is a very spacious and comfortable lounge with an additional smaller lounge adjoining, with a giant TV, toys and games and video games consoles. There is also rooftop patio accessed from the second floor. A coffee machine and water is there for guests to help themselves to. We were there only two nights but it was the perfect bolt-hole during pretty poor weather, to be honest.
