Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceWell to start with, when we arrived there was no one there at the reception and we were told from another guest, to collect the keys from the reception of your of your other hotel down in Taesch. To have to go down to the other hotel is just not acceptable, If I had arrived by taxi and found this situation, I would not have been able to get the keys as I am handicapped. I also asked when I booked if it was possible to have a big walk in shower, where I can put a chair as I need to sit down to shower, I could hardly move in the shower I had, it was so small.
After all the trouble at getting the keys, we had a very good stay. The weather was good and we like Zermatt.

Staff communication was excellent. They notified us that we will be put up at a hotel in Zermatt as Hotel Tasch was not open for the season yet. That worked out fine for us. We enjoyed our stay at the Zermatt property.

AustraliaHotel is convoluted with new and old sections joined by a long hot glass tunnel. Garden areas looked like they could be nice but looked to have been closed off for a long time and unkempt. Some staff could be clearer with directions within the hotel.
Very, very close to the train station to Zermatt, so super convenient. Our room had a nice view and balcony. Breakfast was good.

RomaniaBasic breakfast, no fruits/vegetables, the terrace is shared
The hotel is recently renovated, with modern facilities. The room is is spacious and bright, with kitchen, refrigerator, dining area, armchairs and table. Large balcony with mountain view. Wide and comfortable beds, cleanliness, friendly staff, I parked the car for free in the garage. The train station is 10 minutes away on foot.

PolandOf the minuses, I can note that there was no hair dryer in the room - although it was declared in the list of amenities when booking. I had my own hair dryer, but the European adapter does not fit the Swiss one. For me, the lack of a hair dryer turned out to be an important nuance, because next day in the morning I could not dry my hair and spent the whole day with terrible styling! And this day was my husband's birthday and I wanted to look beautiful. When we contacted the manager at the reception about the lack of a hair dryer, she said that all the rooms were occupied and they did not have a spare hair dryer. And they don’t have a network adapter for Swiss sockets in the hotel either. The impression of the hotel has drastically deteriorated. The manager did not even try to rush in and at least do something. She just answered "sorry, I can't help you" and that's all(((( Solve your problems by yourself. More outraged was not the lack of a hair dryer, but the fact that the manager did not lift a finger to somehow solve this problem or at least create the appearance that she was doing something.
In general, the impressions of the hotel are positive - passable breakfast, a spacious room, a kitchen, a comfortable bed. Nearby is the railway station, from where you can go to Zermatt.

GermanyBreakfast not so worth it. Had I known I would have just grabbed something from the coop supermarket which is 10mins away. I found a few hair below the mirror shelve but the bathroom was spotless clean everywhere else. The terrace is shared which was not an inconvenience at that time since the hotel had low occupancy.
Great location to reach the matterhorn terminal. Coop supermarket close by. Free parking and they even allowed us to leave our car for the day we checked out. Friendly staff. Comfy bed but very soft pillow We had a view on the snowy mountain peaks which made this stay very nice.

RomaniaBalconies are long across several rooms and don't have separators. Unrelated to the property, Tasch is like a parking/stay ish extention to Zermatt. It's quite deserted with little to do there and we stayed during the weekend!! On the flip side in Zermatt it was full of people, big contrast to Tasch. The train Tasch-Zermatt is around 8 CHF 1 trip/1 person so it's 32 CHF to get there once (I thought it would be a lot cheaper).
The property and facilities (e.g. free parking) are great, it was probably the nicest stay (comfort wise indoor) we had in Switzerland and also very quite.

SwitzerlandSome apples/ bananas/ oranges at breakfast could've been nice, but there were no major problems at all.
Three friends and I stayed in two 2-person rooms for one night for a weekend trip to Zermatt in July. There are frequent trains between Zermatt and Täsch - every 20 minutes until ~10:30 PM and it's only a 11 minute ride, and costs 4 CHF with the SBB half-fare card). Getting from Zermatt to Täsch was no trouble at all, and the hotel is only 8 minutes walk from the Täsch train station along the main street. We lost track of time and arrived a little after the closing time of 8:30 PM. We called to notify them at 8:00 PM that we would be a bit late, and the receptionist was very nice about it. We got two double rooms next to each other. Our rooms were clean and spacious, the showers were hot, WiFi was fast, and there was a kitchen sink to dry out our hiking water bottles, as well as a mini fridge. Breakfast (bread, rolls, yoghurt, granola, cereal, warm hard-boiled eggs, cheese and cold-cuts assortment, coffee, tea, orange juice) started at 7 AM. My friends and I all enjoyed our stay and the price at 60 CHF per person for a night was hard to beat. We definitely recommend Welcome Hotel Täsch for the great value, friendly service, and convenence/proximity to Zermatt!
