The location was beautiful and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The set menu for 40cfr each night was amazing. The rooms were clean and stunning, and the spa was the icing on the cake.

The information about how to access the hotel is misleadingly incomplete at booking.com ‘side. Zermatt is not accessible by car AT ALL. You have to leave your car and take the train from the previous village in the valley. Then you cross the entirety of Zermatt before you can take a cable car that will bring you to the hotel itself. It took us roughly 2hours do do the last 10km. Booking.com was absolutely unclear about this aspect. Literally zero information. We only learned the specifics after the (no-cancellation) reservation went through and the hotel reached out to us. This is not acceptable. @booking.com please correct this.

Once you are there, the hotel is positively charming. Top catering, super friendly staff, tasteful decoration, stunning view, top comfort.

A true ski-in/ski-out. Quiet environment in the mountains. Beautiful hotel. Nice staff. Great food We enjoy sledding down one night to Zermatt village! So fun!

Limited choices for breakfast.

Marc and Martin were lovely hosts. We arrived past 17:00 via train and the last cable car ended at 17:00. Martin reached out beforehand to pick us up with our suit cases (for 20CHF). Compared to the taxis waiting around charging 80CHF. Also Martin offered us a free upgrade with a balcony in our room!

Too far from village, no proper service into village. Hotel should facilitate transport. An electric taxi cost 80 euros one way. If I had this information beforehand I would off not booked hotel. Staff were friendly enough but sometimes felt like we were bothering them. Maybe because we did not speak German?

Cable car rides to and fro Zermatt can be a bit inconvenient, but the rides are scenic and worth it.

Excellent service from all the friendly hotel staff. Martin at the front desk was extremely helpful in our booking of a ski class, including advising us where to rent ski equipment, and promptly kept us informed of changes. Room was spacious and cosy for two, nice cottage/cabin design, and the balcony view of the mountains and snowy scenery was priceless. Heated pool was perfect for soaking in to relax after a long day out sightseeing or skiing.

Extremely friendly, service minded and knowledgeable of the area. Former Swiss mountain guide so very helpful with hiking and alpine recommendations. Excellent breakfast and dinner menu.

We were disappointed as we had been very excited by the reviews. It is comfortable but not exceptional. The room cleaning could be upgraded as the cleaning cloth was left in the room and there little attention to detail to dust and the floor in particular where there was hair clearly from a previous occupant.

We liked the location and the general welcome but we thought there could have been more effort. It is not an inexpensive place so a few things such as water every day of the stay, some hand soap etc would have made us feel more welcome. The breakfast is very good.
