One advice not related to the hotel. If you are coming to Switzerland, remember to turn off your mobile data. Otherwise it will ruin your joy of travelling again to this country.

The rooms have very old-fashioned furnishings, no coffee maker or water cooker. The food was rather expensive, but Switzerland does boast high prices. We would have appreciated separate areas for smokers :(

The view was beautiful overlooking the Thuner Lake! The food was excellent, and we enjoyed a short walk over a nearby bridge next to the hotel.

My room had a door connecting to another room, and I could clearly hear the voices and/or movement of the people in the adjoining room.

An original, not typical Swiss, hotel overlooking Thuner lake, located in a quiet rural area. The rooms are comfortable and designed with some Chinese elements. The view from the balconies of the rooms facing the lake is really breathtaking! The staff is very nice and helpful. There's also a Chinese restaurant onsite.

Very poor equipped room! No coffee machine or any hot drinks devices. Poor hitting system. Very old and basic furnitures, very small TV.

We stayed there for 8 nights, It’s a friendly and cozy guest house. we had the big room with the waterfall view. The location was perfect because we didn’t want to drive long hours in this trip as the hotel is near many attraction areas. The host was very kind and helpful.

Even though the pictures indicate it is a relative modest hotel, the staff was super friendly and professional. The rooms and the hotel in general was very clean and the location was superb. Even though my personal preference is to have more modern hotels, the location and staff made up for this in a big way. In just 10 minutes you can have to most magnificent views into the mountains and lake. At just 5 minutes walk you will find the panoramic bridge and for the more adventurous people, a morning hike with sunrise can be found in a 10 minute drive. Do note that I was by car, by foot you will have to fight a hill upwards to find the hotel, compensated by the panoramic views. I managed to run up the hill so for cyclists this will be less adventurous. The surroundings are calm. The breakfast is various, basic but qualitative and value for money. Definitely a recommendation for people planning a stopover.

There is no A/C (as expected), so as it gets hotter in the summers, it could be uncomfortably warm. There isn’t much soundproofing, so neighbors & the restaurant downstairs can be easily heard at late (and early) hours. The restaurant is pretty pricey (again, as expected in Switzerland), so be ready to pay 6CH for a small glass of wine.

It was very clean and the beds were some of the more comfortable ones I’ve slept on in a hotel. We had a triple room (double & a sofa) and it was perfect for us with a 7 year-old. The sofa was already made when we arrived & was very comfortable for my daughter. The small balcony was nice for enjoying the beautiful views. The food at the restaurant was very good.

The staff always looked stressed ! This was my first experience where I could feel this. I felt so uncomfortable interrupting them to ask anything because they were always so busy. It seems the receptionist has other chores to do so was not always available when needed. It was an unusual scenario. The location (although beautiful) is tricky for a solo traveler as public transport is limited. Won’t be any issue if using a private car.

The hotel is beautiful, the sorrow dings and views are incredibly beautiful, the village, the mountains, the close by bridge. The breakfast and breakfast room excellent!

Wifi wasn't the best. Worked okay in the room, but disconnected on the terrace and in the bathroom. Other than that we were very pleased with our stay.

The view from our room was spectacular- perfectly accommodated by our terrace with sunbeds. Truly a beautiful spot to watch the sunset! The room itself was clean, comfortable and spacious. Parking was free and easy. Breakfast also very tasty.

Nothing to dislike about the property. But people smoking cigarettes when others are eating is unpleasant.
