The breakfast menu was limited and same comprising of breads , cheese , boiled eggs , cold and hot milk with cereals , ham , bacon , no chicken or omelette

Robert was amazing, from the moment we booked until after we departed, he had so much tourist information and assisted in ideas for our days. We were well taken care of, the housekeepers were very friendly as well. A delicious spread was put out every morning for breakfast.

Summer would be a challenge for the classic property. Comfort level is also a bit compromised as the property is in classic/ old design.

The reception/owner is outstandingly helpful with a very fair location and good value for money.

Had to go elsewhere to eat, but not really a problem as you could use the free bus pass

Although you could not check in until 5pm They sent the bus pass to you and you could park the car and visit Lucerne

There are not many restaurants close by.

The host is extremely nice and professional. He handles everything in great detail and treats guests with respect. He also explains the detailed information about the city and nearby restaurants. Hotel rooms are very clean and spacious. Parking spaces are also plenty. In addition, Breakfast is very good.

The accommodation is exceptional from start to finish. Everything was impeccably clean which is very important to us. There is a bus stop in front of the guest house which takes you to the city centre in a few minutes. This means that it is super easy to travel around the area. The host was fantastic as he explains everything very clearly and is very accommodating. The host was one of the best we have ever experienced. There is a breakfast as well which we enjoyed. I would highly recommend Gasthaus Zum Kreuz

Including about the history of the hotel might be a good idea for travelers who wants a little bit of history. Maybe offer a cheese fondue on certain days of the week, perhaps.

We have free travel tickets for buses and trains within the city of Lucerne! This is a very very big plus. The travel is very short and it gives you a nice city tour of the place and different environs, wether it is the shores of Lucerne or its surrounding mountains. The place is in the outskirts of the city but it takes you less than 10 minutes by bus and train to the center of Lucerne. The hotel is small, with modern features. Large rooms, modern bathrooms, very nice view overlooking the lake since across the street, there are no houses. If the street noise is bothersome, closing the windows creates a noise free atmosphere. The tables where we should sit down for breakfast was already prepared. The food is ample and substantial. Which is just right for us. There is a personal feel and touch to how the owner manages the hotel since this is not a hotel chain. Robert Sigrist was very hospitable. The hotel is with the family for seven generations. Hotel started as a stopover for travelers during the 1800's.

The walking sound from the above floor is clear, but I think that it is not a serious problem. It might be the one who moved so heavily.

It's very close to the Lake Luzern, and I enjoyed the view by the lake any time. It is a wonderful location. The staff are nice and thoughtful about my needs. The room is much bigger than I thought and it's really comfortable. I am glad to stay here.
