It was a genuine surprise and a novelty to stay in a real jail cell! Only 4 years ago this facility was still a working jail! The staff were super helpful before we got there, as we had some problems with the booking process.

The building concept of being a converted prison was super cool and they did an amazing job. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, the bathrooms clean and the staff were friendly. Also in a great location in the old town and near a nice lookout.

Great place - beds are very comfortable and the dormitories are spacious with individual curtains. Kitchen was great for cooking. Staff very helpful.

This is such an exceptional hostel! Great ambiance, open spaces to sit, ear, drink etc etc. excellent kitchen and communal internal areas also . Staff are fabulous and the bar/restaurant adjoining are really good too.

I stayed overnight to catch Bernini Express. Easy to find about 5-7 mins walk from train station. Look for the arched drive in entry, has another name displayed more prominently but in a smaller sign it says Bogentrakt. Check in was super easy and I was very pleased to find the room really clean and crisp white linen bedding. Bunks had privacy curtains, they were big and roomy. Separate toilet and shower were also new and spotless. I had a great afternoon in Chur and my sleep was quiet and sound. Probably the best hostel sleep wise I have stayed at over 7 weeks. You can hear noisy guests in the corridor if they are banging doors and talking loud but was way less than most hostels.

Staff are friendly, they provide "Chur guest card" for every travelers, so don't forget to use it to explore the town!😆 And the room looks good and clean!

Rooms are a little small, but will serve the purpose.

This is a nice little hostel, not far from the Chur train station. People know it by the name Sennhof. It was a prison till 2020, now converted into a hostel. Its impeccably clean. There is a common kitchen with all utensils, a common community room with a small library and a big TV. There are lots of common toilets and bathrooms in addition to the ones int room (not there in dormitory), which are spotlessly clean.

We were facing on to the courtyard and there was music playing until late. This a small problem and wouldn't put me off staying again!

We loved it, but there are some things that might not appeal to everyone: - The rooms are literally cells, so they are small (I mean, what do you expect??). - The bed is sideways so if there are two of you, one has to climb over the other to get up. - The bathroom had poor ventilation. - No kettle in the room - we had to go upstairs to the kitchen to make hot drinks.

This is fun place to stay - a lovely historic building overlooking a vineyard that has retained a quirky prison-vibe (bars on some of the windows, old scratched up industrial lift, chunky cell doors). The common areas are fine - a lounge in the historic tower, a co-working area, a fully-fitted kitchen and toilets/showers. The reception is staffed and sells snacks and essentials. The room was clean and cleverly designed with fold-down tables and shelves. The ensuite was clean and stylish and the water-pressure on the shower was like standing under Niagra falls - AMAZING. The location is great - 10 minutes from the station and very close to the Rhatische Museum.

- Clear window in the bathroom (not very pleasant to be seen by neighbours if you're showering or doing your business) - Payment: we didn't manage to pay in advance as their payment gateway triggers multiple authorizations from different providers, which is seen as a security breach by our bank. - Cleanliness: maybe it was just bad luck, but we found some "traces" of the previous guest in one of our beds, which led us to think that the room was not cleaned as it should have been.

- Very friendly staff in all stages of the stay. Moreover, we had a bit of an issue in our stay and the staff promptly offered a compensation for all the inconvenience. - Outside the box stay... sleeping in a prison cell is definitely a different experience :) - Good facilities, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, common areas to hang out - Nice location: relatively near to the center
