Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaMy jacuzzi booking was cancelled. But they were very apologetic and tried to make it up to me.
Absolutely beautiful surroundings. I enjoyed the sunsets. I somehow didn’t know all my meals were included, so that was a pleasant surprise

SwitzerlandBreakfast and dinner were delicious. I appreciated the flexibility of the staff with rebooking the jacuzzi for us late in the evening, given that we could not make it in time for our initial booking.

BelgiumIn the morning a guy with a leaf blower cleared the snow from the restaurant terras. the noise was horrible and did not match the scenary nor the absolute silence of the mountains waking up.
Having this kind of food, drinks, service, good showers and amazing beds is pure luxury at 3000 meters.

United KingdomCons: 1. If you do not know how to entertain yourself, you will get bored. You can't just pop to the shop round the corner because the only thing round the corner is more mountains. If you are looking for excitement or entertainment, do not come here. This is a place to chill, relax, unwind and rest. If you are looking for fun in the mountains, go to Davos lol 2. No television in the room. The plug sockets were deep and i could not fit my plug adaptors into any of them, so couldn't use my projector either. So after a delicious dinner, when there was nowhere to go and nothing to do, we had to watch a movie on my phone. Being unable to plug in my adaptors meant I was not able to use my hair straighteners, so bring your curl mousse just in case 3. I reserved a double bed but got two singles that were pushed together. This is a hilarious but frustrating disaster in a place where there's nothing to do but each other. He kept falling down the middle of the beds, which made us laugh and cry in equal measure. 4. Breathing. Normally something i don't even think about. Was a big big issue up here. Even bending over my suitcase for a few minutes was enough to make me light headed and dizzy. To be fair, i am from the flatlands so completely not used to altitude but it was enough to give me general anxiety the entire 20 hours we were up there lol and even my suisse paramour nearly had a panic attack after (trying) to have a romantic evening (and failing due to having separate mattresses lol) and his pulse was thru the roof. Full disclosure: we are middle aged and not in such good shape as we were in our twenties. But still... Be aware. Go easy, tiger. There's no hospitals up here. 5. The cheese board was very very meat heavy. As a vegetarian, this was a con for me, but was a pro for my man 6. The jacuzzi was fully booked. Next time we will be booking jacuzzi at same time we book hotel room.
Pros: 1. Location! Just gorgeous 😍 2. Hotel was nice and staff were smiling, happy and helpful 3. Dinner was delicious. I am vegetarian. There was a strudel starter/appetiser which was shredded carrot and other veg wrapped in the softest flakiest pastry I've had in years, with a side of lambs lettuce and a few other big lettuce leaves topped with balsamic vinegar. Then there was delicious warm carrot soup. The main was a veg lasagne and it was ok. But i would have traded it for more strudel and soup. 4. The hotel is quiet, no church bells in the morning unlike everywhere else I've stayed in Switzerland. 5. This is the ultimate if you are looking to get far far away from it all. If you want to get away from people, from noise, from television, from civilisation..... This hotel is for you. 6. The room was so warm and cosy we had the window open all night (on january 1st!) (with subzero temperatures outside!) 7. Cable car tickets both up the mountain and back down were included in price of hotel room 8. Breakfast was good but no hot food. Both breakfast and three-course dinner were included in price of hotel room. We had to pay for bottle of wine of course. We do not recommend getting a second bottle as the air pressure will make you regret it! 9. The shower was good. Nice pressure, nice soap (don't recommend opening your soap as the air pressure makes everything explode lol)

United KingdomDisappointing that the room didn’t have a view. Disappointing that the booking.com page doesn’t advertise some of the amenities - it would have been nice to be advised about additional services such as the hot tub before they were fully booked. I didn’t like having to choose my breakfast the previous day (breakfast was delivered on trays to our table, presumably for covid-related reasons, but everywhere else we stayed was able to offer a buffet breakfast safely). It would also have been nice to have some choice in the dinner menu.
Beautiful location. Staff very friendly and helpful, spoke multiple languages.
