It was possible to hear other guests' conversations on their balconies from my room.

Nicely appointed hotel at the top of a bit of a hill about 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Great views of Lauterbrunen below. A fine big breakfast room with plenty of choice for the buffet breakfast. Comfortable bed, with a nice front facing balcony with views of the town and Laurterbrunen. The hotel will collect you from the train station if you advise them of your arrival time, which is a nice touch.

There isn’t anything bad to say, but the bathroom shower was extremely small and the bathroom was hard to maneuver - just very small but this is normal for old buildings in Europe and we spend much more time seeing the alps than sitting in a bathroom so it’s not a big deal.

The hotel is very nice and welcoming. The owners are so kind and helpful. The facilities are very nice and the breakfast was fantastic. They even accommodated my daughter with celiac disease and have gluten free offerings. Our room was nice and quiet and the view from our balcony was breathtaking.

Nothing to complain we had perfect weather too

Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, and great services. Good spread breakfast excellent views. Picked up at train station, easy communication would highly recommend this is our 3rd stay will come back again.

Although nicely updated, the bathroom is pretty small.

Hotel was very clean and quiet. Beds very comfortable, breakfast selection options very good (scrambled eggs were the best I've ever tasted). Staff were very polite and helpful with information and provided any additional supplies if needed. The views from the hotel are quite stunning. Location gave good access to a variety of walking trails in the area. We hope to return to Wengen in the future and would choose to stay in Hotel Alpenruhe for sure.

I love the location of the property. It is very up the hill with great view, and it is about 8 minutes walk from train station. There is a small shuttle bus to pick you and luggages up. Great breakfast and wonderful staff!

Occasionally sound from neighbouring units could be heard at night. Having said that, it was pretty quiet after midnight.

Our best hotel yet in Europe. Comfortable bed. Beautiful setting with amazing mountain views. Friendly staff Special thanks to Andreas Hotel Manager for picking us up from the train and we appreciated welcome drinks and chocolate. Great breakfast . Relaxing setting. Definately recommend this Hotel. We were sad to leave.

A shame that only served dinner one evening. Bathroom could do with more space for toiletries. Up a hill, but this actually was a positive to walk off dinner and have that amazing view. Nothing really not to like.

The pick up and drop off from the train station on arrival and departure were most welcome. As was the welcome drink. Study was a great place to relax with a beer, from the honesty bar, and the selection of books. Breakfast was great with fresh produce and a good selection. Room had a lovely view. Bed very comfortable.

The toilet was a bit squished between wall and sink.

We had a really great time at Alpenruhe, starting with a welcome prosecco! The hotel has been renovated very tastefully, and the staff is very friendly and took good care of us. My personal highlight was the breakfast with a good selection of very good and local food. The beds were very comfortable.

As the property is located up the small hill. When it did snow and had icy conditions, it meant special care was needed to walk up and down from the hotel to the village below.

The hosts. Andreas and Jana and their team were truly exceptional. We stayed there over the NYEs and they were so accommodating and ever so friendly in all our exchanges and truly made our stay so homey and cozy. If you’re skiing in the Jungfrau region, their proximity to access the gondola up to the slopes is only a few minutes downhill away.

My only suggestion would be to make sure people know what breakfast services are offered. It took us a day or two to figure out we could ask for a latte or cappuccino, or some scrambled eggs. Not a major problem, just a helpful suggestion.

This hotel has the best view in Wengen. Though the uphill walk might be a bit of a challenge for older folks, it didn't prove to be a problem for us. Andreas and Jana were VERY kind and personal, the service was attentive and proactive, and they were willing to go the extra mile to assist us with various needs. They offered my wife a ride up the hill after a long day hike, and they packed us a lunch the day we left, unasked for! The breakfast was sumptuous. Make sure and ask for their scrambled eggs!! Custom coffee orders are also welcomed.
