Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe were under the impression that if we chose not to have beds made up we would have a saving as promoted of $10 each day We did not have it explained that also no dirty plates would be collected, no coffee or tea bags replaced or cups and glasses cleaned for the whole of our stay At check out we were told that the discount only applied to bar services charged to our account which we did not use My guests from Melbourne were a bit disappointed that their holiday ended this way at the Stamford

AustraliaLoud noise whenever showers/plumbing used on floors above. No re-stocking of milk or tea bags and no way of washing up used cups etc but cups not replaced with clean ones either. Beds not re-made properly each day. Pav Bar food very average and not worth the money.
Reception staff & concierge were great. Room was a good size. Pool was lovely. Breakfast included. Location very handy.

AustraliaRoom was a little outdated, but plenty of space. The pool was a bit cold for heated and spa was just warm. Breakfast was nice, nothing different to average buffet. One touch button coffee machine, same as in fuel station etc did the trick
Great Water pressure and comfy beds. Room service and Concierge were super lovely as were Front desk team.

AustraliaThere was a small issue with the room when we arrived and I called for assistance and unfortunately there was a language barrier with the person on the phone which left me upset, the lady couldn’t understand me either. However, when I attended the front desk in person I was treated lovely and the room situation was easily fixed and they gave us a free drink for the inconvenience.
The location was lovely, close to nice restaurants!

AustraliaSome of the staff were not nice. Particularly the lady that signed us out and overcharged us. Not charged us according to the original quote from Bookings.com. Even when I showed her the quote she said that I should have booked directly with them (which was a lot dearer than bookings.com). We just had to pay what she said then had the hassle of emailing the manager who gave us a refund because we were right all along. We didn’t need this hassle and being belittled for not booking direct at a much dearer price.

United KingdomParking was a major pain point as we actually requested parking on site on booking. The TV in our room appeared to have some difficulty in operation. We actually spent most of the time in our room sitting watching our view with a glass of wine.
Loved the room and the view was great. The bed and facilities were good and clean. The location of the Stamford is very good giving wonderful views of the bridge and the river.

AustraliaDifficult to get into the driveway with the trucks blocking entrance and driveway, had to drive around the block a number of times waiting for a truck to clear the entrance. the construction on the next building made it difficult to enjoy the beautiful outside courtyard with the noise. Every time we chose to sit outside, construction was noisy - grinding and hammering. I know it is out of your hands but it did impact on Pav Bar and outside seating area comfort and atmosphere. The work on the bridges and Eagle Street Pier cutting off the walking areas also was a nuisance and at times noisy. The joys of a city!
Location is great if you want to travel the river and city area, easy to access City Cat and walk around the gardens. View is amazing from the floor we were on, thanks to the receptionist for the choice of room when booking us in. Easy to walk to a number of things and with local restaurants very good location. Room was clean and well maintained Pool was great, clean and beautiful view over the river

AustraliaBreakfast was ordinary, I had expected the venue to be more in keeping with the style of the hotel. Limited food choices in the buffet too, coffee wasn’t good either. The pool had limited number of lounges. A few cabanas would have been more welcoming, as well as more foliage.

AustraliaThey made it better by eliminating that smell.
The last time we stayed at this hotel the smell from the Argentinian restaurant was horrendous so we made a complaint. Staying this time there was no smell at all, thank goodness.

AustraliaWhen I stayed at the Stamford in Adelaide there were robes in the room, it would have been nice to have a robe especially to walk down to the pool in, also a few power points in my room weren’t working, I had to unplug the floor lamp and charge my phone and the tv in the bathroom didn’t work

AustraliaThey used to have the most delicious smoky bacon at the breakfast buffet but no longer. Also, the scrambled eggs are more like something you'd get at a school camp. The steps into the hot tub are dangerously slippery. My partner and another guest both came to grief and almost hit their heads on the concrete. There used to be a lot of sun lounges by the pool but there were only 2 or 3 left and those were starting to fall apart.
Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool was a nice temperature.
