I had a wonderful, peaceful, and comfortable stay. Not a bad walk to the castle. The staff was friendly and very helpful and accommodating when I asked about visiting some of the menhirs around the area. As I traveled alone, it's good to know that people care. Would return for a longer stay! Thank you!

Surrounded by 80 0 ft² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 2.5 mi from Évora city center and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking. Absolutely gorgeous, historic property, even more beautiful than is possible to show in photos. Our room was much larger than we expected, with a lovely balcony and view. The service from all of the staff from the front desk to the restaurant, was exceptional. We had a fantastic dinner and breakfast on site. Fabulous stay in Evora.

This hotel has been recently updated and everything is super clean. Beds are comfortable and breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff took excellentt care of us when one of our party fell ill. Highly recommend!

What an amazing oasis in the Portugal countryside. Located on the largest man-made lake in Portugal, the hotel was truly beautiful. From the huge room, amazing staff, the wonderful restaurant and the cleanliness and detail of the space, our stay was perfect. Once here you really have to take a hike down to the lake. It has to be one of the most serene and beautifully natural landscapes I have ever seen. We were even greeted by a sheep and her new born lamb! Magical.

São Lourenço do Barrocal is located in the foothills of the medieval village of Monsaraz and nearby the Alqueva lake. fantastic food just very rich for such a hot climate. Wonderful horse riding excursion enjoyed the use of the bicycles and the beautiful pool.
